I loved the first one

This is the "penalty" you have to pay for not having to use the disk to play the game. I can live with it. It would be nice if you could have the disk inserted to have the "check in" option suspended.

This is the first gears I didn't get. I just played the MP demo and was impressed, but I don't think I'll get the game until it goes down to $25 or so.

ND has never done a great MP, so these are big words.

Please explain how he wants Sony to fail so his billions in stock will be worth a fraction of what it currently is.

Please excuse my wording if it was confusing. I was at work multitasking :)

It shouldn't eat up much more energy than your DVR does when its left on overnight. A computer left on at idle doesn't eat up much power. I'm also expecting betting they will run just a couple of cores to keep power down. There is no need to keep all cores running when simply downloading every couple of weeks.

Please reread my statement. Always on doesn't mean online mandatory. They are separate things.

However, the Xbox cable box will probably require an internet connection (so you can receive and watch TV) but the gaming console will not.
