I know each company probably wants to focus on their newest main series titles: King of Fighters 15 & Street Fighter 6, but I really wish they'd give us a Capcom vs SNK collection with CVS 1 & 2 and SVC Chaos. Of course I'd also like a new VS title in the series, but in my mind it doesn't get better than Capcom vs SNK 2. I'd love to see that game rereleased/officially supported with online play/rollback netcode.
@clockworkengine: How do you feel about downloading & playing games that are no longer for sale, and thus it is not possible to compensate the creators/license holders?
@goldenageplayer: A more cost-effective way to play N64 is to softmod a Wii. Wiis are very common, and easy to come by in thrift stores where I live for $30. You still need to track down a 2GB SD card, Gamecube controller & Gamecube memory card however. And compatibility is not perfect; you can play the vast majority of N64 titles this way, but not Bangai-O N64, which is the N64 game I want to play the most.
I'm pretty irritated they pulled the original versions. At least give us warning first! Some of my laptops are pretty low-end & I would have liked to know these games were getting taken down.
on ps2 era i steered far away from the few compilation games.
You missed out! Compilations like Taito Legends 2 had some rare, expensive games in a cheap collection. There were also several arcade-perfect collections not available before, like the Capcom collections that ported all the Street Fighter games, and several SNK Neogeo collections. I could understand skipping collections of easy-to-find retro titles, but many of the PS2 collections bundled otherwise expensive/rare games!
@dragoonmike: I know several people who found GTA 3 difficult/unapproachable, but are excited for the new quality-of-life features. I'm sort of in the opposite camp, I've played & completed GTA 3, Vice City, and especially San Andreas so many times on so many different platforms already. How many more times am I going to play these? I am more interested in stuff I haven't played yet.
