The good: The same great multiplayer - One of the best campaigns in any of the call of duty games - Nazi zombies - Splitscreen co-op and online co-op - superb sound - awesome graphics - very good voice acting - Same great gameplay your used to - More blood guts and gore.



The bad: some weird glitches and clipping problems - the co-op splitscreen screen is just plain odd.


A lot of people were pretty mad when they found out treyarch decided to go back to WWII for the next call of duty game. But i think it was a pretty good idea since the call of duty franchise has never gone to the south pacific.

In the campaign you play as a American marine storming the beaches of several key islands that the allies would need in order to win the war.
You also play as a Russian soldier in the Russian campaign.
For once i would just like to fight as one country instead of two or three.
But playing as two different soldiers on opposite sides of the world does break up the pace. Since you are playing as a marine one missions fighting against the japanese and the next you are playing as a Russian private driving the Nazis from your homeland.

You start the game as a marine who is being questioned and about to be killed by the japanese officer questioning you... Thats when it starts to get gory.. When SGT.Roebuck (voiced by kiefer sutherland aka jack baur in 24) rushes up behind the officer and slits his throat.
Not that the gore is a bad thing if anything its good. It adds to the reaslism and makes you actually want to crush the enemy.
The Russian mission start is almost the same.. With dying comrades al around you and the nazis killing any of them that move.
Now the first russian mission is probably the most heartfelt, After the germans have passed the area you are in you start crawling and then you see someone moving. The person moving is SGT.Reznov (voiced by gary oldman) and his story although short is a good one. For days he had been following a nazi general waiting for the right moment to kill him, but since his hand is hurt its up to you to kill the general.
The missions probably vary more than that of any other call of duty game.
One mission you are fighting against the japanese the next against nazis in a tank and the next in a PBY (type of plane) shooting down japanese ships and planes.
The fire fights are the kind you expect from the cod franchise vast and intense.
But in codwaw they are the same amount of intense but there is much more gore and blood and during the japanese missions there are banzai attacks and ambushes so may never know where the enemy actually is til its too late.
The gameplay is the same but thats not bad since it has been good since the first cod for the pc.
There are a few changes to the gameplay like they added bayonets to some of the weapons making the melees more powerful and they also added a flamethrower which is a bit overpowered but im not going to complain.
Speaking of weapons... There are the same american weapons you are used to like the tommy gun The BAR, springfield (which can actually not have a scope this time around). The same germans weapons like the mp40, mp44, Kar98k, gweher, and others.. But the best introduction were the japanese weapons. With at least 6 new weapons like the type99 LMG, type100 SMG, a pistol called the nambu and others as well.
The campaign may take you 8-10 hours on the easiest (and what is in my opinion the hardest cod game ever) and on veteran the game seems impossible. But once you beat the game.. You unlock one of the best parts of the game.. Nazi zombies.. Which is very linear but very fun.
nazi zombies pits you inside a building trying to defend yourself from endless waves of zombies who are also nazis (terrifying duo). But to defend you self you can buy weapons and ammo with the points you get from killing zombies and rebuilding boards on the windows which are keeping the zombies out.


But the real star here is the multiplayer.. Its the same formula as cod4's multiplayer but it is still very good.
The max level cap in cod4 was 55 but treyarch upped it to 65 allowing for more weapons to be unlocked and perks.
There are your standard deathmatch and team deathmatch game modes.. But the other game mode are probably the best.
Game modes like WAR which is both teams at the start of each match have to flags but there is one in the middle and each team has to try and capture it. And which ever team captures it has to try and capture the next flag and so on but either team can capture flags as long as they have people near them trying to capture and hold them. There is also the popular headquaters game mode where the headquarters moves around the map and each team has to try and hold the headquarters for as long as they can.
And there is search and destroy where one team defends and the other has to destroy the objective that the other team is defending.
Then there is sabotage where there is one bomb in the middle of the map and both teams have to try and get it and then take it to the enemies base.
And capture the flag is back. After being absent in cod4 which was a shame to be honest.
You can get EXP by getting kills and completeing objectives in the objective based modes. Some game modes you dont have to do al that good to get lots of EXp points like headquarters where you can get over 500 exp points in one match. But if you do good then your team will do good resulting in more exp points for you. You also get EXP points at the end of each match based on how good you did. You can also get EXP points by doing co-op online but not enough to make you wanna do the co-op all day yo try and get lots of exp but still co-op is fun and you will wanna play it for that reason.
Most of the maps are based on missions and with new maps to be released soon there will be plenty of variety to choose from. There are also tanks on some maps but they dont change the gameplay a whole lot.
Of course you start with crappy weapons that have no upgrades at all.
But the better you do and the more you play the more weapons you will unlock better weapons and upgrades like a scope or a bigger magazine.
It doesnt seem to take as long to rank up in codwaw as it does in cod4 for some reason.. it might be because there are more ranks in codwaw so they decided to make it a bit easier to rank up.
Like in call of duty 4 when you get a 3 kill streak you get a radar sweep which allows you to see the enemies positions, five kills is a artillery strike and 7 kills instead of a chopper (they didnt exist back then) you can call in dogs to attack your enemies which is very satisfying.
There are the same perks with a few new additions, like second chance which allows a player with this perk to revive a dying comrade who has gone into last stand. There is also toss back which sets the grenades timer back to 5 when you pick it up giving you more time to get rid of it.
Since there are tanks they added vehicles perks which can increase the vehicles speed turret speed and lower the amount of time to reload.
The multiplayer can be fore up 16 players online and 4 players splitscreen. Co-op can be for up to 4 players online and two players splitscreen.

Earlier i mentioned there were some odd glitches and clipping problems.
What i meant by that was this.
Some times your Friendly Ai will just run into walls or block your path to the next objectives. And the clipping problems come in where when you see enemies die they seem to fall straight through the map and then pop up again also i notice that some enemies could walk right through some walls. But other than that nothing major.



The sound is just simply awesome from the weapons firing to the music (which is strangly like electronic music but it seems to actually fit well)
and the voice acting is absolutly superb.

The graphics are just as good as cod4 which is no complaint.


So overall it might just be a copy of cod4 but set in WWII its still very good and should not be missed.

i dont know what it was the first time.. but this time i liked it more for some reason.. maybe its cuz i saw it by myself?

but anyway i did like it more than the last for some reason. 3.5/5

and im thinking about using gamefly.. but $15 a month for 1 game in? seems kinda steep..

For once i actually agreed with critics.. the watchmen movie is pretty bad....

There are a few good action scenes but the movie is dragged out of to long a period..

The acting was solid.. And i loved the music...

Honestly the movies plot is not of the caliber of the novel, but action makes up for that matter....

im having a hard time pinpointing the reason i just didnt like it very well.. maybe since it was supposed to be the bigest movie of the year i was just overhyped for it..

but the main reason is that the movie is too long.. it made me very frustrated that they were going back to every one of the "super heroes" past and seeing why they were where they are...

Now i have never said this before.. but there was too MUCH sex in the movie... now i dont mind a few sex scenes but honestly they went over board... (and since when can they show a guys P*nis in a R rated movie?)

Now rorshac (spelling?) was my fave out of the "heroes" it would have been DR. manhatten but he was flashing his damn genitals all movie long...

And i have a new fave quote from this movie "Im not stuck in here with you! Your stuck in here with me!..." Rorshac".

so overall if you still want to see this movie then do it just dont have your hopes up high... 2.5/5

look nothing you can do can change my opinion.. but if you look at what he is doing now. which is trying to get countries to join together and become one.. that is exactly the prophecy in the bible that will tell us the end is near.

there are also many other prophecies in the bible that obamafits the bill with.i cant name some off the top of my head right now.. but do research and you will se what i mean.. call me ignorant.. call me a racist call me whatever you want.. but im none of that.

Well baseball season is almost here but if you are as diehard a fan as me.. the season never ends...

last year i was going for the yankees (as well as the 6 previous years before that :P )

But im guessing the yankees time has come to an end.. ever since losing to the diamond backs in the 2001 world series.. they just seem to have gone down hill ever since..

Now i dont know if it was gaining AROD and losing roger clemens to the astros (big mistake) but as long as they have derek jeter people will like the team.. not that the other players on the yanks are bad players like mike mussina are awesome but are seeming to go down hill. now i have no clue about randy johnson (have not heard anything about him at all lately) but i think he retired.. Randy had a good run on other teams (diamond backs mainly) but now if he is not retired i think its time for him to... cuz i mean there is no doubt in my mind that he will be going into the baseball hall of fame.

Baseball season starts for me this week with my first practice this friday... I was originally supposed to have tryouts but not enough people signed up so there will only be one team for my age group (13, 14, 15 me being 15)

So this baseball season i will be rooting for the brewers who werre doing really good last year til near the end of the season when they just fell on their asses.

Well here is a list of my faults and my family (but not really) that i realized are keeping from doing my best in online games

#4 one ofmy biggest mistake is getting pissed everytime i die.. lately i have been doing better at it.

#3 sensitivity.. the analog sensitivity.. today i finally found a perfect medium for sensitivity (custom: medium: 3)

#2 trying to eat while playing.... not good

#1 now this is where my family comes in but its not like i can really blame them for it... ok the #1 reason is.. noise.. i cannot play with noise arround me.. it ruins my concetration. and with 8 brothers and sisters and only one tv being in the main room of the house.. nakes it a pain in the ass to be able to pay attention to the game and be at my top game

in case you didnt know the demo for the new riddick demo came out yesterday.. And WOW! is it awesome or what!

(if you havent played it yet.. do it)

Riddick is more kickass then ever. especially with his new blades. Which are shaped like crescent moons only deadlier. I mean being able to put the blades into a guys back like a birds talons and the ripping out flesh just makes you feel totally badass.

Not that riddick isnt badass as a matter of fact he is my new favorite game character especially after beating the first game and getting to hear one of the most badass quotes ever (in the following sentence)

"Afraid of the dark?... Im not.. the Darkness.. Is afraid of me....."

Or his new one from the game coming out in April.

"Some people are scared of the dark.... For me.. the Darkness is Where i shine"

So yeah i guess he is now my game character idol (instead of masterchief although he is still awesome)

And at least this time The sony console owners will get chance at his awesomeness.

Difficulty: Easy Time Spent: 10 to 20 Hours The Bottom Line: "All flash, no substance"

The good: Good multiplayer - great sound - Co-op.



The bad: Graphics are good but everything looks so shiny even the dirt is - weak story - boring campaign - guns in multiplayer are very weak - some missions are very confusing.


You play as Johanna dark who is some sort of agent but its never really explained as to what type of agent.
The story is weak.
It turns out some bad guys have gotten a hold of some sort of weapon that could help them take over the world.
And of course you have to take them out... It is really just a way to kill a bunch of bad guys and kick some butt.
Now this is a prequel to the perfect dark game for the nintendo 64. Now how this is a prequel i have no idea, since the story is rather bland, boring and just plain not fun at all.

The missions can vary from anywhere to 10 minutes to around 30 minutes..
The main reason it would take you 30 minutes to complete a missions is just because levels can be very confusing. there is a blue arrow on the ground that will point you toward your objective but i never really found it useful since the arrow is kinda hard to see and sometimes it seems to just disappear.
Like i said some missions are easy some are not and some missions (meaning most) are flatout boring.

By boring i mean boring gunplay, the guns are powerful but rather hard to aim with since the sensitivity is rather odd and enemies jusr rolling and running around aimlessly make it really hard to even get your cross-hairs on them.
Enemies might seem smart by just running around and diving. But, in truth they are just plain stupid, Running right by you without shooting or diving right in front of you and looking at you like "shoot me".

There is co-op for up to two players splitscreen and two players online.
The co-op is a bit more fun than just you by yourslef with some dumb friendly AI.
The second player will play as either some girl that is Johannas friend, or as Jack Dark (Johannas dad) who is also some type of agent.


In the campaign you will see a few different types of enemies and many different weapons. Enemies like some that are in vehicles (some sort of jet pack or something) ot the hovercraft which can go on land and sea.
And speaking of weapons. There are around 25 or so weapons ranging from the standard pistol to the almighty rocket launcher. There is a sniper rifle called the "Jackal" but sniping is just plain useless since the enemies always run around and not to mention the sniper rifle is only single shot and takes up almost all your guns spaces you have.
By gunspaces i mean there are four slots where you can carry weapons, Pistols only take up one while SMG's shotguns and assault rifles take up two, while the larger weapons (rocket launcher, jackal some other sort of other sniper rifle that in its secondary mode can see through walls and the M-60) and if you carry any of those weapons you can at least carry one pistol like the heavy duty 357. python.
You can take cover in single player and multiplayer but the cover system is rather weak since you have to wait til the games says you can take cover behind a wall.

The campaign could easily take you anywhere from 6-14 hours depending on the difficulty and if you can figure out the levels easily but the average player should be able to complete it in around 8 hours on the easiest setting.


The multiplayer is probably the best part of the game even though it has its flaws.
You play with up to 16 players online or 15 other bot offline in splitscreen with some friends.
There are many modes but only 5-6 maps. But those maps can be set to be different sized maps (small, medium and large) the only reason you should probably have it set to large is if you have the full amount of bots or you dont mind walking five minutes to find someone to kill.
The game modes vary from your normal deatdmatch, teamdeatch match capture the flag and so on. But the beter games modes are in a ****called darkops. These game modes are more unique, like onslaught which is where one team defends and the other attacks. The defender being able to but weapons with a certain amount of money before the attack begins. And the attackers have a preset weapon that you can choose which weapon the attackers start with.
You can also set the amount of money the defenders start with.
And there is the infection games mode, where one player starts out as the infected and tries to infect all the other players and the last person not infected wins.
Like i said earlier the weapons are very weak in the multiplayer. It can take up to 2 clips to take down an enemy. With the exception of the shotgun sniper rifles and rocket launcher. But once again sniping is useless.
The shotgun will only take two shots up close but futher away and if they have armor it might take 5-6 shots with the shotgun.
One wierd thing i found about the grenade launchers is that it tales two grenades to kill an enemy even if you are only a few feet away from them..
Now i dont know why they made the weapons so weak but i just found it a pain in the butt.


The graphics as mentioned are good, but every little surface looks like it has just been waxed and is really shiny. I did find it anmoying yo be looking at dirt or 1000 year old walls that shine like some car that just got waxed. There are also some glitches like enemies running into walls and conyinue to run into them til you kill them.
The characters also do not look so good upclose (they sure could use a makerover).

Teh sound is rather good. With a good soundtrack. And good sounding guns.
The downfall of the sound is the acting.. Just plain old not very well done.


Overall i might have bashed this game somewhat. while the singleplayer is boring and the co-op is the only really good part about doing missions, and the multiplayer being the best i do not see why you should not at least try it for yourself.
