@Thanatos2k That's not the case here. Unity is just for PS4, PC, and XB1. This unconfirmed Rogue game is for PS3 and 360 this year. As in two concurrent games for two different generations of hardware. This isn't the 2015 AC game.
@blackbeltjones @gokartmozart89 To be fair, the PS4's change in architecture from Cell to x86 wouldn't allow it. The XBox One has the same issue with the change from the 360's PowerPC architecture to x86. x86 is actually a good thing, too, because the consoles are finally using something more inline with PCs. It should make multiplatform development a lot easier than the proprietary processor architectures of yore. They would have had to include the PS3's hardware inside the PS4 (making the system more expensive, larger, and potentially more prone to overheating), or recode every single game and release patches. Microsoft actually did this with some original XBox games on the 360.
Another option I suppose would be an emulator, but then Sony wouldn't be able to charge for streamed rentals.
@bartrams Given how slow the connection speeds on offer from ISPs actually are - particularly in the US - and the grief the ISPs are giving Netflix's UHD attempts, I don't think this is realistic at all.
@Sevenizz Why are you comparing a sim racer to an arcade one? It's like saying, "yeah, the Godfather is good, but it's not as funny as Animal House lol."
@rampage-05 It would seem the beta is littered with placeholders and areas where content has been removed in order to save it for the retail release. In the story's opening quest (the one with the same map that we saw in the E3 2013 reveal), for example, the giant Fallen boss that was shown coming out of the hole in the wall near the beginning was not present. The hole is still there and I even waited a few seconds - and I've been through it once with each class. Either it'll be in the retail release or that's content you'll have to backtrack to. Otherwise, there's no point leaving that hole there. I've encountered similar looking holes, and dead-end areas that seem like they should contain loot chests or enemy spawn points, because otherwise they have no purpose.
