@shanesays5: How much did they pay you to sell your soul? Oh wait, that's right, you paid them! So sad.
Next time a game company puts in pay to win mechanics *spoiler* (it will be EA in this very game) you and all the other people who supported this disgusting trash despite the backlash can hang your heads in shame knowing you helped it happen.
@dlCHIEF58: Instead you'll be influenced by an overly greedy corporation making broken games with extremely flawed mechanics, good choice, you enjoy spending $2000 or being at a disadvantage.
@makimaki: This particular boycott is very much aimed at the mechanics and system, not the franchise.
You can coast by as you say but this issue is definately getting worse. You will struggle to coast by when other players have extra damage, armour, AOE etc.
The RNG, lootbox issue is a separate one to the pay to win. The pay to win is the issue as why should your $60 purchase put you at a disadvantage to the people who drop an extra $100. The lootboxes just make it even worse.
@makimaki: The industry has got away with this crap for far too long. This title landed up being the straw that broke the camels back due to people's love of the star wars brand. Would you honestly rather the "sheep" as you put it rather not make a noise and the situation just get worse and worse until every game is just farmville? You're either an EA employee or someone who needs to pay to win.
@7tizz: Definately an EA spy. There is no way a rational human being could agree with this viewpoint. The only thing being reported is the truth. EA are pure greed. The game is $60, how dare they incorporate the same pay to win trash that is straight out of free mobile games! Your comment below on them bowing to pressure with the 70% reduction (even though they did also reduce the rewards) shows that what is being reported is true and that maybe pressure can work but why stop at a measly price drop, people want this to be a lesson that game companies will never forget. I doubt it will but I hope this game fails dismally and the next time some developer thinks they can force consumers to buy crap on a full priced game they will remember the disaster that was Star wars Battlefront 2!
