I have issues with battlefield... My European soldiers look nothing like Europeans of the period in question... will that be addressed in the final version?
@Warlord_Irochi: I clearly said: "(and no, I'm not referring to the copyrights to the IP)".
If I buy a physical copy, of course I don't own the IP, and I am not claiming that physical copies should entitle me to that. I am saying I want to be able to have access to the software I buy whenever I feel like it, be it tomorrow or in 10 years. I'm a collector as much as a gamer.
@dirthurts: I think the best option at this point is to hold back a generation and wait for the game to be "remastered"... that is the only way to insure you are getting the complete experience, no-day1-patch-required eperience, which is pretty pathetic. Lol
@pongley: I Know, but I am obsessive that way. I can't stand thinking that if sony removes games from the ps3 strore in the future and for whatever reason I have a problem with my HDD I won't be able to download my content anymore. It is not such a far fetched idea, after all at some point it will stop being profitable for sony and MS to keep running servers that distribute this content, and they will inevitably pull the plug. In this case it is only "temporary" due to licensing, but still...
That's why I hate digital distribution... It is like renting for indefinite time. But you never really own it. (and no, I'm not referring to the copyrights to the IP)
