Aww... see how dumb GameSpot and Claire Lewis looks now?

The player retention (which is really all that matters here since Starfield has almost 11 million players outside of Steam). of Cyberpunk 2077 has fallen back to 8.4%, and Starfield is still at 11.8%.

Most of those are not the best ships.

CowSpot would know that if they spent as much time with the game as they profess.

Maybe spend a little more time playing and a little less with bullsh*t anti-Starfield articles?

@itsnota2mer: I didnt say there wasn't biased journalism. The goal of journalists should be journalistic objectivity.

So, shut your pie hole, you don't know what you're talking about.

@fedor: Jesus...

Keep on hating, goofball.

Most of Starfield's player counts, even by your own "evidence", is outside of Steam. Therefore, Starfield success or failure doesn't have that much to do with steam. Second, comparing Cyberpunk user counts to Starfield is just as, if not more dumb, because the peak player counts of Cyberpunk are almost 2.5 times more.

You believe what you want, I be over here in reality pointing and laughing at you.

I'm out - stop staking me.

Literally nobody made the claim that the majority of people are playing on Steam... You're arguing with yourself, stop moving goalposts and you won't have that issue.

What the F**K are you talking about? This article is stating that Cyberpunk has "rocketed past Starfield". That's comparing Cyberpunk to Starfield in Steam player counts. That number is really only relevant if the user base was similar. It's not - there have almost 250% more Cyberpunk players on Steam than Starfield.

Let that sink in for a second. Now, re-read the article headline: "After Phantom Liberty Launch, Cyberpunk 2077's Steam Player Count Leaves Starfield In The Dust"

CLEARLY, GameSpot is using Steam player counts as a metric to compare the two. And again, the problem is, most Starfield players are playing the game ON GAME PASS, NOT STEAM.

Looking at Steam:

· Cyberpunk 2077:

  • · All time high count: 830, 387
  • · 24 hour peak: 229,643
  • · Retention: 27.65%

Starfield:

  • · All time high count: 330,732
  • · 24 hour peak: 108,498
  • · Retention: 32.80%

*Cyberpunk 2077 launched on December 10, 2020. 18 days after launch, it's player count fell to 225,670, or fell to 27.1%

No matter how you look at it, Starfield is doing better on Steam than Cyberpunk, even after this "2,0" launch. And, given that Starfield has (even by your "estimates") five times the players outside of Steam, your points again, fall flat.

Give up.

So CP77 currently has highs of over 100,000 more concurrent players (3 years after launch BTW) than Starfield yet you think Starfield is doing better? LMAO!!! Your math still sucks. Even when trying to cook numbers you still fall flat. All this nonsense simply because you're a massive fanboy. The other dude is right, you are incredibly insecure, and I'm bored of you now.

The highest player count for Starfield is less than 1/2 the highest count for Cyberpunk - because most people playing Starfield are not playing it on Steam.

Why is this so hard for you to understand?

Keep on losing there, buddy. Keep on losing.

@dabear: Steam Spy has been proven to be accurate for over a decade lol... Literally always within range. I am right, your 3.3% BS was objectively wrong, and you're now just desperately flailing nonsense around and calling me a cow. You're a goof at this point. I'll be sure to let all the pollsters know that dabear from Gamespot doesn't think 20% of a userbase is enough data LMAO!
