but in the end it will come down to valve because they have everything to win or lose by this. this has already been tried in the past with panasonic and 3do and it turned into a disaster.

well if that would be true all those companies would be incredibly dumb. one has to only look back the the disaster that 3do was in the past to see why.

hardware specs mean nothing on consoles. I advice you to check the game beyond two souls currently released for ps3. it blows almost every pc game out of the water with 7 year old hardware.

the ps3 didn't do fine at all when it was that expensive. it only got better when they lowed the price a lot, something sony could afford selling hardware with major losse,s but valve can't.

except it's not better than a console since it misses most of all the top games that are console exclusive.

but the problem is what will developpers do? if you don't change anything chances are some developpers my make games for better hardware so you can't play or if you expand on your system that no games are programmed for that. that's the mess, that's why there are consoles, but valve clearly doesn't understand.

this is going to fail so hard. yeah make everything interchangeable so it gets to be an even more confusing mess for consumers and developpers. what;'s the point. just get a pc, or better if you like gaming, a console.

thq is nothing more than an average developper and we need to get rid of those
