Ill consider getting ODST for reach as i heard the formula is being redone, one thing the halo multiplyer experiance could do with imo Anyone play a none shooter game on a regular basis that they would say is a good game.....I really enjoyed transformers 2 online but it never seemed to take off as an online game in europe, and nobody plays the midway battlestations series anymore (who would play MB2 anyway lol)

Well theres 2 routes you can go with BC

  1. Put the original chipset on the new consoles board
  2. emulate it.

Original chipset;

pros- Will run nearly every original game at near full speed, may be able to also do original Xbox games (the only thing stopping a DS playing a gameboy game is lack of z80 chip)

cons- The 360 problems may be carried over to the 720 if they arnt fixed by then, more hardware needed, costs more to produce

Emulate;

Pros- Cheaper, contains none of the 360's hardware and the problems that come with it

Cons- Slower, and knowing MS will not be fully supported at first.

All the above are assuming that Microsoft stick with the same manufacterer of parts for the 720

I'm looking for a new multiplayer game to play and need some help, i just have a few criteria

  1. Not a shooter, unless its not a MW2 clone
  2. has an active online community
  3. doesnt lag too much on a oversea game (I'm in UK so have about half second lag if playing yanks)

Thanks in advance to anyone who gives me a good recommendation

well if the special edition consists of an artbook a cd and a few palette swaps for outfits, guns etc... Id say no. Honestly special edition comes out for nearly every game now, and i only go for the ones that have summit cool or have personal value. My fave was probily the big daddy that came with Bioshock 1, with the assassains creed II one in second. I dont have any personal worst as i havent bought any, but a recent example would be the napoleon total war imperial edition... i mean come on who wants to pay £7 more for a few extra units and piece of paper.

well even the most basic of programs like firefox and uninstall take ages to load up. video playback is fine after about 30 seconds of the program loading. also installing a game/program or running a virus scan can take absolute ages, much longer than my single core PC.

Honestly I think it's down to me having an O.O.D. operating system, as my laptop was really slow when i downgraded it from vista (before windows 7 was available). I think I'm just gonna borrow a copy of windows 7 and if that sorts it, then I'll go out and buy Windows 7 for my PC

[QUOTE="benbonney"]

AM2+ Phenom x4

S Series Gigabyte motherboard

4GB RAM

1x 1/2TB SATA drive (ind IDE Mode)

ATI GPU (middle model in latest series)

1x IDE HDD 100GB (OS on that)

Pirson

What do you mean by '(ind IDE Mode)'?

And I bet that IDE drive your OS is on is slowing you down. It must be, at least a couple of years old.

the sata is in ide mode so it will run on my XP pc. Next the IDE HDD isnt slowing down my PC as that is the first thing is tested.

Ok so i have recently built myself a new PC, Which other than the GPU (which is still quite good) is top of the line stuff. Im using a quad core processor (AMD Phenom 2) with a Gigabyte motherboard which has a Vista certified sticker on. I play Dawn of war 2 on max settings and i have no problems, yet im running XP and its soooo slow yet hardly any CPU power is being used

Is this just being down to the drivers of my parts not being designed for XP?

I thought it was quite interesting, Im quite hyped about this game now. Just wondering, Master chief is not going to be making an appearance to this game is he?

from reading the uk magazine Edge, i have learnt that this game is halo but not halo........ its going to be set in the halo universe, but will be its own game. Story wise MC shouldnt be in this but who knows.
