@rushiosan: Battery power is a common issue but your device doesn't have to be unplugged all the time. Also a head unit (in the case of VR) could also add a battery pack. If you look at external batteries they add a lot of life. My biggest concern for VR with a cell phone is, "can cell phones strapped to your head cause any health issues?"

@Tiwill44: I don't know either and that to me is part of the excitement that revolves around the future of things. I would like to see a portable console that can plug into or wirelessly connect to a base that allows you to carry your games everywhere. Also don't get me wrong the phone doesn't have to be the only device that uses the future tech so the future gaming console could be its own entity?

I also believe and can see evidence that the leaders of the integrated circuit industry are making more laptop/phone processors then desktops computer processors. I think the future is small and I would like to see a synergy of technologies that brings all of our technologies together though communication but separate to maximize function.

At the end of the day I welcome any change as long as it truly has the consumer in mind.

@magnusstorm: I am just trying to balance out the knee-jerk reactions I see in these comments. Too much hate revolves around the idea that consoles will be replaced by a portable console/phone/computer. Your "no" is actually a matter of "when" or rather "how will modern consoles be replaced". At this point its all IFs.

If a phone can connect to a TV/Monitor and a wireless controller I don't see why it can't replace a console. The only thing missing from the experience is physical media (which I prefer) . So if it can connect to a small dock that allows blurays too then why not?

This update is so fresh and new. There is no way anyone could add as much content in such little time as Micosoft has done with Minecraft. I mean they created the game a little over a year ago. :D

@angrycreep: As far as Comics go. I know very little. As far as the GI Joe cartoon. I watched every episode as a child. Cartoon version of Snake eyes would be destroyed and so would Storm Shadow.

So I guess the comic made them more then skilled people?
