[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]ME3 and Kingdoms of Amalur were both pushed back to 2012. Kingdoms of Amular looked cool until the gameplay footage revealed it was a hack n slash RPG....pass!bessy67
I still think Kingdoms of Amalur will be great. Despite all the criticism, I really liked the Fable games so I'm really excited for what looks to be a more complex, involved version of Fable with a good serious story. Plus Ken Rolston (Elder Scrolls series) and R.A. Salvatore (acclaimed fantasy writer) are both heavily involved in the game.
Wow, Kingdoms of Amalur looks great! Thanks for bringing it to my attention (as well as a previous poster). I liked the Fable games as well, so I'm interested in seeing how this game does.I would say Nintendo.
When they develop something you are practically guaranteed to have something that at the very least meets your expectations and usually surpasses them with creativity. Even their Wii Sports/Fit/Whatever line-up has exceeded my expectations with each game I have tried. But stuff like Twilight Princess and the Super Mario Galaxy games have blown me away. Repeat playthroughs of these lengthy adventures are not uncommon with me.
Platinum is also up there. So far I have played all three of their console offerings: MadWorld, Bayonetta and Vanquish in that order and each game has been better the further along I've went. The crazy amount of polish, bat$*** insane scenarios, spectacular level design and awesome sense of replayability has made Platinum one of my genuine favorites of this generation. Anarchy Reigns can't come soon enough.
Bungie is also high up there for me at the moment. They haven't really been tested outside of the Halo games, but they have provided three of the best shooters I have played this gen with great polish, care and quantity of quality content in each entry (ODST as an expansion didn't have the same breadth of new content, but still excellent and unique in its own way). I'm really excited to see what they have up their sleeves for this new IP.
And yes, despite how much I love my PC and how this year I imagine I've spent 75% of my time playing PC games, I'm saying that the three best developers are all console developers.

Great post. I've got to agree with Nintendo and Platinum. The quality and polish of the games released by those devs are outstanding.
Although, for the third -- I like Bungie. But for the top three, I'd probably replace it for Valve or Blizzard.
It's funny, because I ran into a real cheap PS2 Slim on Craigslist and was just thinking if I should dish the money on it and decided I will.
I have the same issue. And I'm not really all too nitpicky about graphics. But for me, the newer generation of games has a lack of good RPGs that can keep me hooked for a long period of time. So I looked into it and it helped me decide to buy it.
It's obviously different for you since you don't like RPGs and text-heavy games. But if you can find a good amount of games you're willing to play, go for it.
I've seen the 360 cases on eBay. But I've only seen them in mass, as far as I'm concerned. Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/50-New-Translucent-Green-Xbox-360-Game-Cases-/270685754387?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item3f0620d413
Hey everyone,
I was wondering which laptop would give me more bang for my buck. I'm a college student that commutes to campus and back, but also looking to slip in some gaming every once in a while. So definitely looking for performance and a faster laptop in general. I was looking through NewEgg, and these two caught my eye for the price range.

They seem to have the same processor/GPU, and similar specs all around. What would you guys say about these laptops?
Thanks!
