Everyone likes to be the victim, point the blame, and feel good that they "stood up for something."
Instead of pointing out the problems, offer suggestions to -help-. I'm all for equal rights for humans (male, female, LBGT, what have you), but if it's constantly brought up how or discriminatory one side is, that side is just going to fight back harder. And in full force. I understand that women are being treated poorly in the gaming community. However, constantly saying to men "Shame on you! You're a horrible beast for doing such things!" it isn't going to help much.
Also equality means everyone shares the blame. Not "I got hurt so punish that person." If a woman insults a woman, drama . If a man insults a woman, sexism. If a woman insults a man, everyone laughs. Oh, humans are such funny beings.
How come there isn't a documentary or a movement for equality among all gamers? Ever hear of the GAYmer-con? Yeah, the one that Westboro Baptist Church trolled? People got riled up at WBC for that one. Barely ayone stood up for them. But when it's women in gaming, the world has to stop for them. -slow clap- Un-freaking-believable.
Guess people only want to see what they want, and help those who cry the loudest.
I love my 3DS, I have played it just as much I did the GBA, maybe even more. At first I was a skeptic too. There wasn't anything appealing to me about it. But after considering it and purchasing one for Fire Emblem: Awakening, I can say it was worth it. It's hard to not get hooked on it once you start playing your first game. I can't wait to get more games for it. Bravely Default looks so awesome, oh and can't forget Project X Zone as well.
