Before i dig a hole for myself, I'll just leave it at the fact that i don't like dogs. I don't like them at all.

End.

[QUOTE="Vyvi"]The cons are whatever I mentioned in the original post. An annoying mooching smelly animal in your house is enough of a con for me. I don't get any satisfaction of having a dog in my house. I could see if you need a companion or want something to raise from a baby, but my dog was from the shelter so it was already like 7 when we got it. It's past the point of being raise-able so i just don't understand why we have him. He, as i stated, poops in the house and barks and doesn't do any good = =.

I'm sure there are "good" dogs, but I just don't like them. I don't even think they're cute...scorch-62

Everything you mentioned "is the product of a lazy master." You obviously can't handle having a pet, let alone a dog. A good dog belongs to a responsible owner, and you clearly aren't one.

You're right since it's my sisters' dog and she doesn't do anything with him. I try to have as little to do with It as possible.

However you're wrong in a sense, since at my dads house he has a dog which he's had since It was like 1 month old and he's raised it very well. He cares about that dog more than anything else yet It's still annoying as hell. While it doesn't poop in the house, It does bark at things passing by outside and scratches when It wants to go out.

Really, I just have no patience for dogs. If a dog does anything besides sit around it will annoy me.

Have you ever heard the term "Teenagers think they're invilcible". Most kids think that sounds stupid as 'they know they're not invincible', but it's also true to an extent.

So if you don't 'fear' anything you could just be an absent minded teen without a developed brain.

I guess I'm just not old and sad enough to care about the companionship of a dog yet. When i get home from a bad day my dog starts scratching at the door to go out since there's finally someone home to open it for her.

That's great that a dog can help some people become happy and unconditionally love everything, but i honestly think the cons outweigh the pros.

Dogs do absolutely nothing for me. They bark, poop in the house and get in the way. I absolutely cannot stand them.

So, i was just wondering what you guys think about dogs and why people have such an affinity for them.

I was born in 1990. My childhood from like... 1998 and back was awesome since i'm pretty sure it just consisted of pokemon, donkey kong and are you afraid of the dark.

6th grade to 10th grade, however, sucked ass because i was a fat awkward kid who had no friends.

However i went away in 11th grade to AZIA for foreign exchange and that basically transformed me into a normal, functional kid. Now i thank my awkward fat years (i'm skinny now...) because they helped me not turn into a social tool and let me figure things out for myself, becoming the badass mofo i am today.

So, while at the time middle school may have sucked I appreciate it now. Now my life is kickass.
