@blackparrottt: If that's for real pretty nuts that they did that, and just kinda flat-out stupid. Wonder what the evidence is on that, and if it's proveable. Any ideas where I might look to find out?
@Spartan_418: If you wanna go by base canon foundations, then it's worth noting that humanity's destruction being "the will of the gods" was pretty much a complete fabrication of a trio of prophets. When I found out the show Covenant had a human in their care, I thought that was stupid too, until I saw the theory (before the show came out) that one or more of the hierarchs had developed a program to raise humans in the Covenant for purposes of using them to manipulate Forerunner technology. I actually think that is a cool and logical concept that fits into Halo lore, but obviously the way it was implemented with "Makee" in the show was lame. (I'm not even sure if the theory turned out to be correct, 'cause I never finished season 1).
@Spartan_418: They've explicitly said the show is not canon. Not saying that as a defense--I think the show's trash and if they were serious they'd make something that was canon and do the work to fit it in and make it good. Stopped watching around episode 4 or 5 in the first season, lol. Never even made it to Master Cheeks :'(
