@jZangetsu21: That's not even the same thing and you know it. Bringing exclusives from consoles to PC support those companies with more possible purchases. Console players asking for the console command is laughable because the systems just can't use it.
@Andy639_basic: Cost-efficient? You do realize they are so far behind PC specs by now that they will never catch up with a reasonable cost stapled onto them. But it doesn't really matter the masses of gaming are usually with consoles and their drove like thinking dictates the gaming market. Being able to plug in play sure it'll work for those who want that but not those who want more.
FO4 being made the way it has kind of shows it was held back for consoles (they can barely even do 30fps with the game). By the time the next gen comes they will more than likely be slightly stronger than my PC right now but up-to-date PC parts will be ever improving. Eventually consoles will reach PC standards, once we reach the technological max for our eyes to perceive, but video game companies will still make games based on consoles first.
I suppose that is my resentment towards consoles but business is business. I just wonder how far, graphical wise, games would be right now if PC was the only platform.
@Mirimon78: I thought this discussion was about consoles being under tier compared to the vast majority of PC gamers' computers. When did this switch over to nothing but a VR debate?
@Andy639_basic: That's the whole point though you shouldn't factor in those who don't game with their PC. That only skews the numbers as their machine wouldn't be used anyways towards the gaming scene.
That whole statement from them is to make sure they keep console people seduced by their machines making them think they are on tier with high end rigs. Basic point is my PC is old and needs to be replaced but it is still stronger than the current gen consoles. PC gamers' rigs are normally well above the current gen but if bringing in those who don't game with their PCs make your side of the argument more relevant then go for it.
@Mirimon78: You are talking about those who don't game with a PC but own one. PC gamers in general usually have cards from the 700 or 900 Nvidia line or from something equivalent from the AMD branch.
Why even bring up basic computers people don't use for gaming? That would be like bringing up a sedan against a luxury racing vehicle.
@skiggy34: The current specs of this gen's consoles are known to everyone. We all know their limit and it's kind of sad. Fallout 4 playing the way that it does on both current gen shows their limitation.
@Andy639_basic: Actually they aren't powerful at all compared to the 900 cards from Nvidia (can't say on AMD since I don't use their products) and the i7s you can get.
Around 60% of the people I have come across on steam have better builds than me, mine is only 2 years old, which would indicate a good portion have beasty rigs.
Hilariously enough my 2 year old computer is stronger than the current gen and it doesn't even have a high tier GPU.
