This weekend was absolutely crazy. It started out Friday and I had no plans for the weekend, I had the weekend to my family and myself. Then all of a sudden things just started coming up and up and up and before I knew it the weekend was over and I hardly had any spare time to do some things I wanted. I did however get to do one thing I wanted, and that was get my feet wet in the podcasting world with Mr. James Wallace of the Geek Democracy Podcast. For a first podcast it went longer than I thought it would, but we were enjoying ourselves so much it just happened how it did. There are a few things I messed up on, like my information near the end of the podcast where I was talking about the popularity of the Xbox 360 in Japan, I mean to say the PS3 is heavily favored in Japan....oh well. Even with my few mistakes I think the podcast went well, I never knew what to expect going into it and I think it can only get better now. As far as the video project that I promised would be ready near the of the weekend...well it fell victim to the chopping block as I didnt have enough time. I am still working on it and will have it ready shortly now that things are calming down.

I hope you can understand, I never like to disappoint or not keep to a schedule I promise, but it had to happen.

I am gathering the required pieces to my video, I am pretty sure people will like it, and if all goes well I should have it done in the next few days....the weekend at the latest. It might have to be in parts, but I am sure it will be good content!

First off, I havent touched a game on any console in weeks...even my PSP. Why? Well, to explain this I need to dive into the past....*flashback fade w/music*. The year is 1999, a game called Everquest is released. I wouldnt know the amount of fun this game could provide until mid 2000 just after it had released it's third expansion pack, Scars of Velious. I played this game and its sometimes frustrating difficulty for about 2 years, while juggling my addiction for Counterstrike and Starcraft in there just for good measure. I enjoyed the game, but the long hours.....days...MONTHS it required just to level up to enjoy the content the high end game had to offer eventually wore me down. So I stopped playing just after the Shadows of Luclin expansion when I realized I could not invest the FULL TIME JOB like hours it required to be competitive in the high end game. *Flash to the present*. I stumbled across some websites that offer FREE Classic Everquest play on Emulated servers. Now I am not promoting piracy, but the reason I do this is because they way the current Everquest game is, I do not enjoy. I enjoyed the classic content that the current system no longer provides and the developer refuses to make a classic server. So therein lies my excuse for playing on an emulated server. Anyways, I play on a PVP server, which I never did back in my heyday, I played a PvE server. Some neat points about the server I play on now are 1) Small community, you know just about every player online, whether you love them or hate them 2) They upped the EXP modifier in the dungeons, so what once took you months to level up to max level you can do in weeks. 3) Just overall they made things require less time, so you can enjoy the meat and potatoes a lot sooner without the insane time investment.

That is what I have been doing, and I might be doing that for a bit longer before the interest dies down and I head back to gaming on consoles. I still have yet to even open Zak and Wiki, its in my pile of shame. Games I want to buy? Pretty much just some Wii games, 3 to be exact. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams collection, because I absolutely love pinball, the game has gotten good ratings, and I just want it. Okami (Wii) I have wanted for a long time...I was about to buy it for the PS2 before I heard it was coming out for the Wii. The Wii controls seem perfect for the paintbrush feature, although I hear its not as good as it would seem, the game is still getting great ratings and...again I just want it. And the 3rd is MarioKart Wii, I love MarioKart and I want it!

I have rambled for a long time and I need to go shopping for groceries with the family now. Oh, one last update I dont think I mentioned, my wife is pregnant with our second boy, she is 7 months along (I know I should have said sooner). Now..what to do about my username....it will have to be the TempleQuad? Haha, I dont know, I will keep this username and maybe just say its Me and my 2 boys...the wife really doesnt like videogames so she wont mind. Tell me what you think! I am going to a midnight launch for Super Smash Brothers Brawl to pick up my copy. I will have it sunday morning and will most likely be playing it sunday. My Wii Friend Code is 3573 2457 3634 1203. Just a shorty. I bought Patapon and reserved Super Smash Bros. Brawl, gonna hit up the midnight launch at the nearest gamecrazy for that, then play the heck out of it on sunday! If enough people are interested I will do a review of Patapon for the PSP. Thanks for reading!

Just so that nobody misses out on this, keep an eye out in the coming weeks for the ability to download a free xbox live arcade game. Why, you ask? It is microsofts way of apologizing for xbox live sucking for the last few weeks. They havent announced a time frame of when the free download will be available yet, but when they do I will have my eyes and ears peeled and will leave the info in another blog. I do this for my friends.....you gotta love me!
