In Qontrol 2010 [SAVE.EXIT.PLANET]

This post has nothing to do with GameSpot or games at all. If you're curious what it's about, read on.. else CLICK.EXIT.NOW! The reason I'm showing this to you guys is because it's as good as unknown outside Europe and I might get some people interested. :)

In Qontrol 2010 [SAVE.EXIT.PLANET] Trailer

In the past (25th of April 2009) I went to a festival called In Qontrol. The whole setting of this festival was named CTRL.ALT.DELETE, that's why In Qontrol 2009 was named In Qontrol [CTRL.ALT.DELETE]. This festival happens once a year, so this year In Qontrol 2010 is coming close and is named In Qontrol [SAVE.EXIT.PLANET].

On such festivals different DJs do a live act on different stages. Usually there are 3 types of stages with each their own music genre: Hardsty|e, Hardcore and Early Rave. Every stage has their own DJs with their own tracks and live acts. The line-up of DJs changes every year, usually it's announced a month or two before the event starts.

To promote such a gigantic event, there's a trailer that tries to explain the setting of the upcoming In Qontrol festival. Have a look at the In Qontrol 2010 [SAVE.EXIT.PLANET] trailer.

In Qontrol 2009 [CTRL.ALT.DELETE] Aftermovie

Yet you probably still have no clue what it's all about. Because the In Qontrol 2010 festival hasn't happened yet, I can't show you footage or tell you anything about how it was. But In Qontrol 2009 is nearly a year old, so let me show you the official aftermovie. Please note that the track played in this aftermovie is the official anthem of In Qontrol [CTRL.ALT.DELETE].

So what?

Probably 99% of my blog readers clicked my blog away after watching the In Qontrol 2010 trailer or even after reading the first lines. It's cool, you don't have to like it. The fact I posted this blog is because I have never enjoyed a festival as much as I did In Qontrol. So I will definitely be visiting In Qontrol 2010, no doubt! :D For the 1% of my blog readers: I also visit festivals like Defqon.1, Q-Base, Qlimax, Thrillogy, Emporium, Mystery Land, Hard Bass, Hard Nature and so on..

Those who actually did read my blog and watch the videos, what do you think about it? Does it fit your taste? Will you visit such festival in the near future? Whatwhatwhat? :D

Addictive Fantasy, yesh another blog after MONTHS! :-*

I know, don't get me started about it.. it has been a long time since my last post. So I think it's time to post an update, plus I'm starting to become more active on GameSpot again.. AGAIN. I don't have a clue on what to write to keep you guys longer than 20 seconds on my blog and eventually comment it aswell!

Maybe an idea to show you guys on what games I'll spend my money on in the near future and what I'm currently playing. Perhaps there are still some games you have never heard off, or where I have never heard of myself. Tell me about them by commenting my blog, I will definitely comment yours in return. Please note that all games mentioned below are for PC, I don't own a console anymore.

Wish List // Games I simply must-must-MUST play

[Role-playing]

APB* - imagine any Grand Theft Auto game in an enormous online world, where you choose good or evil.

Project Offset* - haven't played it yet, but looks really promising especially graphic-wise.

TERA Online* - it looks and plays soooo nice and smooth, oh and it's Free-to-Play if I'm not mistaken.

Dragon Age 2* - the sequel to Dragon Age: Origins, it's going to be even better.

[Shooters]

Crysis 2* - i really hope it's not going to be a sloppy sequel like F.E.A.R. 2 was.

Half-Life 2: Episode 3* - this one simply can't suck, it's predecessors where superb.

May Payne 3* - bullet-tiiiiime here we come!

Medal of Honor* - consider it a Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 2 clone, but as a fan of the series I don't want to miss it.

Portal 2* - i'm not a puzzle fan but the way portal does it is unique, so i'm really looking forward to Portal 2.

Postal 3* - piss, shoot, drive and vomit everywhere you want.. but this time in the Source Engine!

Splinter Cell: Conviction* - let's hope this won't be another bad port, looks damn good.

Now Playing // It changes from time to time, but it still contains golden-oldies.

Max & The Magic Marker* - small addictive puzzle game, especially for killing time when I'm bored at school.

Lineage 2: Gracia Final* - i find the PvP really interesting and a lot of fun, still play it every once in a while on private servers.

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast* - best game ever made! Is there anyone out there still playing Multiplayer of v1.02? PM me ASAP!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2* - the leveling system keeps me hooked, still level 27 by the way.

Dawn of War 2: Chaos* - going to review this game soon, it's so awesome!

Red Faction: Guerilla Review

Red Faction: Guerilla

As promised I would write a review about Red Faction: Guerilla. For those who are interested you can read my review here: Red Faction: Guerilla Review. I'm sorry for the short and summarized review but I simply don't have much time to write one. Please leave a comment of what you think about the review. :D

Need for Speed: SHIFT

Oh and I don't know why I all of a sudden have such high expectations of games but I played Need for Speed: SHIFT on a friend's computer. The graphics are insane but the race-simulation is simply too bad to be true. I would love to write a review about it but it's actually to bad to be reviewed in my humble opinion. Damn, I was laughing more than enjoying it haha! :P

Please leave a message in my blog, I'll comment yours as well! ;)

Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2, Red Faction: Guerilla

After not having played any games at all for a long time, I have finally made a come-back. It took me a while but feels good already! :P So right now there is 1 game I'm keeping my eye on, and another one I'm going to enjoy real soon.

Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2

Believing the giant hype behind Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 I started doing some research. After seeing several gameplay videos on YouTube and images on Google, I was really impressed. It looked so much like the previous Modern Warfare game but no, it was even better. Knowing I've played the previous game online pretty much, this one is a must for me! :D So after checking when the game was going to get released, I pre-ordered it immediately! :D

Red Faction: Guerilla

As a huge fan of any Red Faction game, I have been tracking Red Faction: Guerilla since the day it was announced. I had no clue about when this game was going to be released, not even that it already is released. So making my way from the train station to school, I met a friend that said how awesome the game was. He already had a legal copy of the game, so I immediately asked him if I could borrow it. At the moment of writing this blog the game is on the desk next to me, waiting to get installed and played! :D I'll keep you guys updated about how it is and even write a review about it.

Stay tuned, I will keep you updated! :)

New game system

Due to my new school (Education: Game Design) I was kinda forced to buy a heavy machine to work on. Not heavy as in weight, but heavy as in specifications and well.. this one pretty much is!

I've been searching for a decent ASUS, Acer, MSI, Toshiba, Fujitsu and even Packard Bell system. Until a friend told me about the fusion (or co-operation) between Dell and Alienware I changed my mind and searched around on the Dell website. The system I decided to buy is the Dell XPS M1730, yes it's a laptop and yes it's 50% Dell and 50% Alienware.. rawr!:)

These are the specifications:

CPU: Core 2 Duo T8300 (2,40 GHz)

RAM: 4GB (667 MHz, Dual Channel DDR2)

O/S: Windows 7 ULTIMATE 64-bit

Screen: 17,0-inch UltraSharp

HDD: 320GB (2x 160GB RAID-0, 7.200RPM)

VGA: Dual NVIDIA 9800GT (SLI)

Image: ImageShack.us Link* (*opens in new windows)

And uhmm the price.. about € 2000,- so it was pricey. But this laptop beats my current game computer in overall, so I'm really satisfied! The only thing that bothers me is the slow memory, 667 MHz isn't that great. The Windows score says 5,9 on everything except for the RAM with a 5,1. Might be replaced in the near future!:)

[Account reinstated] Back after 2+ years!

I don't know where to start but THANK YOU GameSpot! As you guys may have noticed, I got banned from GameSpot about 2 years ago giving up gaming or being into it. At this very moment my account got reinstated by Jody (THANK YOU! :)). I don't have time to update my profile at this moment but at the end of this week I'll update as much as possible. When my account was still accessible I was 18 years old, now I'm turning 21 in December already.. :O So it has been a while!

I'm really looking forward in being active in the GameSpot community again and I will do my best to stay a life-time member!;)

Stay tuned, tons of updates coming soon! Hell, glad to be back!:)
