Knifing owns

Playing Battlefield Bad Company has been one of my most favorite online experiences to date. It's not about the different guns or items that you can use or even the different classes that make for a more team play fight. It's not even the vehicles and some of which are incredible. Its the fact that on top of all that you can Knife people and take their dog tags. This is not always easy to do but when you get your sights on someone you take that chance to forgo using your weapon and going for the knife kill. Take my word for it. When you get them, you're jumping out of your seat. Especially if it is someone who got you will any kind of kill or is just pissing you off. One other thing that makes this one great is that fact that you can instantly take pictures on the battlefield by pushing up on the directional button. The picture goes to the Battlefield website so you can show them off to everyone. I have been taking pictures of most of my knife victims and they are great to look at. Check them out if you like and rate them. My photos. I wonder if someone has taken a picture after knifing me. :D

Father's Day

I guess you can say that I was spoiled for Father's Day. I had a chance to go spend time with my family back in Pickering and as usual my mother got me a lot of clothes. Nothing too special other than some Tommy. I just love to get things from my mom still. I love her to death. My kids got me a new Fusion Power razor, the gamer one and when I say kids I really mean my wife. I am a little obsessed with them. Every time they come out with a new one I just have to have it. :roll:Weird, I know. My wife also got me the new Blu Ray edition of Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete. This is one of the best Japanese anime out there and the original was perfect and now they added about 25 more minutes to it. I was glad to get it. Finally the one thing I was bugging my wife for is the Playstation Eye. I was so happy to get it. I got a picture for my Burnout Paradise license and even created a Rainbow Six character that looked pretty close to me. Well, my wife thinks anyways. I hope that I am a good enough father to earn it all and I hope all the fathers out there got what they wanted and were even a little spoiled like me.:D

A story

I just got Prince of Persia for the Xbox 360. I don't have a Xbox 360. Let me explain. I saw an ad in Futureshop that they had Xbox 360 games for up to half off. It sucked that it was only Xbox 360 games and not PS3. One of the games they had was Prince of Persia for $19 and change. I had to use this to my advantage some how. So my plan was to buy the new game and exchange it for the PS3 copy. Even if it was for a used copy. I immediately thought that Gamestop/EB would accommodate me. Wrong! They would only give me $15 for it even if I was giving them a new copy for a old. Bastards! There was only one place I could go... Wal-Mart. As a former employee of Wal-Mart and as any customer who returns product can tell you that they are pushovers. Their return policies are almost non existence. They have even accepted returned product that doesn't even belong to them. Why? Too damn nice or just don't care. So I was going to say that it was a gift and exchange it for the PS3 version. So I got the game and on my way to Wal-Mart I stopped in a place called Video Time. You may have heard me mention them before. They sell PS3 games 2 for $40 all the time so I never pass without checking in. Guess what I saw? Prince of Persia. All that scheming for nothing. Oh well, I was going to get my wife to do it anyways.:D

I've lost my fish.

I have lost my fish. Only one day after receiving the outlier emblem it seems to have vanished. I love this one the most because it says that I am not influenced by Gamespot or other reviewers.:P That a company can't gain favor over me. I have no loyalties to anyone and I can't be bought if you try. Go ahead. Just try... please.:D Anyways, as I was saying. I only had it for a short while. I didn't even get the chance to choose a gender much less choose a name. If you find my bowl or know its whereabouts please pm me. I would offer a reward but I know my fellow game spotters that you would reject any such offer. I can only hope in the end that it was only a glitch and tomorrow I will find that my bowl is full once again.

The Prized Trophies

I admit I am caught up in all this trophy business now. I could have cared less not too long ago. I didn't need them to enjoy a game and I definitely didn't need it to replay a good one. I still just look for the best games that are out there in whatever genre but now it just makes sense to want to push yourself just a little more to here that bell. You hit the Playstation button so you check your trophies and eagerly check to see what it is you have just gotten. Yes! You might check your friends to see if its one that they have gotten yet and with a sinister grin you are proud to have gotten a trophy that has eluded them. You might go that extra mile just to stay ahead percentage wise until finally there are no more left to get.

Does the Platinum trophy signify the end of you gaming experience for that particular game? Are you just using the game not for the experience but to get a lot of bronze, a few silver, very little gold and one platinum? Do you go out of your way to play a crappy game because you know you can get an easy platinum? I cannot judge. Whatever your vises are I hope you simply have fun doing it. In the end if you're not being entertained by a great story and exciting game play than whats the point?

Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction

Finally! Got myself a copy of R&C:Tools of Destruction yesterday. I loved the series from PS2 and I have wanted to get this one but by the time I got a PS3 it had been out for a while and I refused to play full price for such a old game. I got a used copy for $20 at a place here in Barrie called Video Time. They sell games for the PS3 two for $40 all the time which is a great deal 90% of the time. I haven't finished Ratchet: Deadlocked yet so I have to make a decision. Do I go back and finish before playing Tools of Destruction or not worry about it. I don't think I want to miss out on anything this franchise has to offer.

Platinum Trophy

I'm sick of people going out of their ways just to get a platinum trophy. It doesn't matter what game it is. Trying to skip through all difficulty levels so you can just play the games once and get it on one play through. Playing a game that you know sucks simply because you heard its a easy platinum. Who does that? I have one platinum trophy to date and that's from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. This is one of the PS3's best and I didn't do it in one day, or one week. I didn't continue to play just to get the Platinum. I got caught up in a great game and I still play even though I have nothing else to gain except a great experience in gaming.

Game prices

I used to think that games were expensive. Hell, I still do, but if you think about how much do you spend on a night out then you should be able to justify it. I spend at least $60 when I go out but just like a night out though you want to get your moneys worth and not feel like you wasted your money.

Moderation

I was moderated yesterday and I feel raped... not really but what the hell. I ask a question that I wanted an answer for and that gets me moderated. What exactly about the question was not acceptable?Ignoring the stickied threads. What does that mean. Does it have to do with what or how someone might respond to my question? Its not my fault some people are just simple and may respond with one word answers. If you are moderated it may result in a points loss. This sucks. At some levels it takes forever to level up. Having a set back like that can make you not come back... This site has a hold on me.

I'm just glad I never lost any points. That's the end of my rant.

Gamespot second opinion

Recently I find myself questioning the latest reviews from my beloved Gamespot. I always wait on your score before I purchase a game so I have been wondering. Is this the opinion of the entire reviewing staff or is a there a lot of the times or even a few times where someone on staff doesn't agree? Is the game discussed before the review is posted or is he/she able to post whatever? One person is assigned to review the game but I know you guys don't just wait to play the game. You usually get it first and if its a game you want to play then your gonna play it. If there is a disagreement that is warrant sharing ie a ratings difference of a point or more than I think it should be shared.

What do you think. Agree or disagree. Let me know.
