Considering it's not a full-blown sequel, I don't see the problem of dedicating an spin-off game to a single band. Aerosmith are pretty big, not a bad band to start with I reckon. How it sells is a different matter; seeing as it's Guitar Hero I'm thinking it'll be successful, but this game could pave the way for similar single band Guitar Hero spin-offs.

Little Big Adventure, anyone? A cool little adventure game that didn't get the attention it deserved. I'm not talking an AAA title here, but it was a cool little game.

Another one that sticks out in my mind is Monster Rancher. The overriding memory I have of this Pokemon-esque game is how you acquire new monsters; pop a music CD into your PlayStation and it generates a monster. Cool little feature that had you scouring through your music collection, but unfortunately, the game play probably wasn't that great if I can barely recall any of it.

Jet Set Radio: Future, Morrowind, KOTORII, Jade Empire, Shenmue II, and Panzer Dragoon Orta are up there. Can't really call a specific one out though.

I loved it. Awesome game, and although I don't know if I would buy it if it hit Xbox Originals (I completed it the first time around), it would be great to see it there as I don't think it sold all that well, despite being a great game.

Most of the essentials have already been mentioned. If you ever come across a game called Rocket Knight Adventures. Great side-scrolling platformer.

I played a demo of that, way back when. I remember it being quite fun :)

As essential as discs are to cutting edge media formats, I do love the old cartridges. Hard to break, quick load times, perfect. Sure they might have a finite battery life, but they tend to last for years and years. Discs, on the other hand, are so easy to scratch (or so easy for your console to scratch).

It had a short life, but the quality:quantity ratio of the games I played was crazy. Virtua Tennis 1/2, Power Stone 1/2, Shenmue 1/2, Dead or Alive, Soul Calibur, Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia - some of my favorite Dreamcast games. I would love to see how the console race would look today if the DC lived.

Golden Axe was one of my favorite MegaDrive games. Loved it, and although I didn't own Streets of Rage, I played it plenty at friends' houses. It was truly a great era for beat 'em up-style games.
