@juboner There are two things about Skyward Sword. I don't like the swordplay. I thought I would, but it puts me off even loading the game. I'm slowly getting used to it but it affects every moment of the game.

The other thing to know is it's a very dungeon orientated Zelda. The main towns is good, and there are some good Zeldaish sidequests there, but beyond that the game doesn't have much of an overworld to explore. Instead you get outdoor segments leading up to dungeons which themselves feel very dungeon like. The game looses a lot of the sense of exploration you expect from Zelda. But don't let me put you off. There are a lot of great things about the game.

The last handheld Zelda, Spirit Tracks, is amongst my favourite Zelda games. Nice to see Nintendo is put a big effort into handheld Zeldas these days.

I recently completed Windwaker HD, my second favourite Zelda, and have now started to play Skyward Sword, which so far I'm really not a fan of. Right now I'm more psyched up about Zelda than I've ever been.

Playstation has always got away with such mediocre launch line-ups. Nintendo had a sony-esk mediocre launch line up with the Wii U and got no end of complaints. Sony might have done better than normal, this time, but non of the launch exclusives will be remembered next year. I think people buy Sony because they expect good third party support to come, eventually.

Nintendo like Sony is doing well with indie devs and is far stronger than all the competition when it comes to first party games, but third party supports normally patchy, even when the consoles have strong sales.

Xbox doesn't tempt me at the moment... It seems like a more expensive PS4 with weaker graphics. Steambox looks interesting simply because I already have many steam games.

I've a Wii U, but as far as my second console goes I'm holding off to see how things go.

Currently alternating between this, skyward sward and super mario world on my wii u and am hugely impressed with this game. Can't understand why it flopped so bad. People are just scared of spending cash on something diffrent i suppose, and the reviews are bizzarely mixed. its a conplex game with a lot to learn but it doesnt do a bad job of introducing you to the basic consepts. Much more accessable than many reviews had me believe. It's a game of skill where levels have replay valve as you refine you technique chasing better scores. This game is destine to become a cult classic and should not be missed.

I like my wii u a lot. I'm someone who skipped the wii, though I have no issue with motion control, I was just more of a pc gamer. The controller is a quality gamepad with a touch screen that does add to the gameplay in many games, even the ports. I think many critics are people who haven't played one outside a shop. It has got a good selection of games now. It lacks that big name game that'll attract sales (until Mario 3d) but it has some great stuff that's worth playing.

It had a better first year lineup than the 3ds. I had a 3ds at launch and it gathered dust for a year, my wii u has had regular use since I got it.

I'm going to predict the wii u will sell well this xmas. People are starting to become aware of it now and 3d Mario's coming out.

'Wii U selling THIS Xmas' sounds like a big prediction... Well you heard it here first... you can call me a deluded Nintendo fanboy if I'm wrong. :P

The 3ds does show that a wide range of people like Nintendo, despite the kiddie label people are always try to pidgin hole them with. I think Nintendo will recover with the Wii U, it's a great console, but I bet a fair number of people are thinking that they can get their fill of Nintendo goodness from their 3ds and get a different brand console to get a wider scope of games.

@xolivierx We've already have an idea of the changes coming to a link between worlds and Zelda has a history of being non linear, the first game was pretty much and experiment in non linear gameplay.

As for mature content and violence, I'm 32 not 12, I no longer need to see blood and guts to prove my manliness. I want Zelda to be no more "mature" than it's ever been. In fact I'd love them to do another windwaker style game. That was beautiful. And No, Nintendo isn't at all like Disney if anything they're like studio ghibli.

Looking forward to this. The less linear approach they appear to be taking with both this and a link between worlds has a lot of potential.
