@G4mBi7 @MegaPhilX2 Although I haven't heard about people getting refunds (Proof?), the customer support agents feeling butthurt is no excuse. The customer is always right. It works like that in any business. Why would the videogames industry or EA be immune to that rule and ban people or deny refunds?
Ok, I'm going to finish this quote for her since it went nowhere as it was: "We recognize that there are fans--people who love the original SimCity--who want that, but we're also hearing from thousands of people who are playing across regions, trading, communicating and loving the always-connected functionality, so we're just going to ignore the others who want an offline mode."
Yay! a FREE game we don't own! Free stuff fixes everything! So, has anyone working at MAxis and EA finally made a pst-mortem meeting discussing the HORRIBLE decisions and learned from their mistakes yet? Somehow I doubt it...
@Loshead @Moi_Hahaha @ Moi_Hahaha: The devs don't get the money either way. The publishers do. @ Loshead: You are right. Except about the part about going to GameStop. GameStop rip you off and they are the reason prices for used games are so high and that publishers want a piece of that rip off money too. Bottom line, buy new or buy used. It's as you wish. But don't buy from GameStop. You buy a game console, you should be able to own the game you purchased and play it no matter where it came from.
I wonder which one GameStop makes the most money from: The game bought new with pre-order bonuses publishers give them on a silver platter OR the used games GameStop sells at ridiculously high prices. GameStop: Power to anyone BUT the players. That being said, no one should buy a console that blocks used games. Remember that there are other outlets for used games besides than GameStop.
