Well I think that most of the sequels released this year didn't quite live up to their reputations and weren't as groundbreaking as their predecessors. Still great games though but with all this hype I was expecting more.

I'll be picking up Halo2 at the midnight release on Monday (Tuesday actually) and probably be busy with that most of that week. I'm a real fan of online gaming, not of the online gaming community in particular (Counter-Strike is a good example), and I believe it's best to play online games with your friends that you know or somewhat know in real life. If any of you reading this have any online games that we can both play, by all means send me a message and I'll most likely be happy for a good multiplayer session.

Lately I have been disappointed and at the same time happy with games that are being released this year. What game today isn't a sequel or based off an existing franchise? Even the new franchises that were born in this gaming generation have been getting sequels. I know it's great that we get to play all of these awesome games but I can't help but feel a little disappointed at times. I'll take the era of the SNES or the N64 anyday. I have all of these great games to play but without as much time to play them as I used to with games getting much larger nowadays. I believe people will agree with me when I say it's pretty darn expensive to be a gamer today unless you pretty much stick to one or two systems which isn't as bad as people make it seem. Hopefully the DS will give me a more positive approach towards gaming in the future. As you can see, I'm not much of a forum poster here on GS but I do read a lot of the posts though. I have a lot of opinions and ideas for almost all gaming consoles and portables but that will probably be best left for some other time in more detail on a specific subject.
