Well another E3 came and went. Like always Nintendo put out an Ok show. Nothing fancy and the only real new announcement had to with 4 Super Mario Titles and a new mature Metroid Adventure. Which I am stoked for, but learning of the Prime Trilogy for Wii has me all Metroid out recently. Both Zelda and Miyamoto or MIA this year, other then Spirit Tracks...which im not looking forward to btw! Nintendo mentioned the 100 Million DS users, but didn't really play the numbers game. Last I checked they were at 100 Million by April. I found it odd Iwata didn't brag about the 50 Million Wii's sold either. Instead he said he wanted to reach a crowd of "maybe" gamers, which greatly exceeds the 290 Million gamers around the world. If anyone can do this the Big N can. Other then that the show was boring, but no embarrassments on Nintendo's part. Except they showed more Wii Sports Resort this year was Sky Diving, Archery and Basketball. I will admitt it looks fun, although what Reggie said is worrying me... so if i miss in real life, it is my own fault and not the game? BLAST IT ALL! I was terriable when it came to playing real sports -sigh-

Mario seems to be the man of the hr for Nintendo this year. 4 New titles. I am only excited by 2. New Super Mario Bros and Mario and Luigi 3! Mario Galaxy 2! Pass. I loved the 1st one, the game looks great. But the music is midi? If it is not orchestrated like the last game. That means Nintendo is just trying to pump out a New Mario game and rake in more cash. If that is the case I will pass on it again. New Super Mario Bros looks like the DS game, but with 4 players. Thats not really revolutionary and Nintendo is 2 systems late. Mario and DK for the DSi looks ok, but Ive never really got into the series. Although the create a stage feature is good move. The game I am most excited by is Maro and Luigi 3!

I Love this series and was green with envy when Japan had free roam of this game for some time. I have heard nothing but praise from my friends over in Japan. Which annoys me since I couldn't play it. SInce my Wife plays the DS a lot, I will have to get another DS just to play this and that new cop game. The COP game is good because it uses the GTA formula and lets players take on the roll of an edgy COP! Not a criminal! This game looks like it will be Anime ish and a lot of fun. I may have to get my hands on this title as well, down the road. I know its one thing to play as the bad guys over and over again, Bu t now you are a good guy? SIGN me UP!

Ok so lets talk about Wii fit Plus! In all honesty I haven't used it because like everyone else I lose weight. But since I am MEDICALLY under weight to begin with, Im not a fan of the Wii Balance board. Wii Fit is selling like crazy a year later and people are still paying 7 times a week. Who thought exercising could be this much fun? Well I sure didn't! Wii Fit 2 or Plus as the case would combines to games in one, Im not lying it really does. It takes the Wii Fit game and adds the work out playlist like EA sports Active. Which if EA is reading this, Im still awaiting the game to review it for Gottgame. For the 1st time in Plus "Players will know what its like to walk a mile in Mario's shoes" but how can that work? The Wii balance board says you can't jump on it. So Mario JUMPS! Figure that one out Nintendo. Kwife says that she is looking forward to Wii Fit plus later this year. Don't worry I will have a lot to say about the game, once it releases.

My biggest disappointment came with Reggie saying that Nintendo has been listening to their fans. I would have been happy with anything. Kirby, Starfox or Kid Icraus. What I got was Metroid. Nintendo has put out a bunch of Metroid games in the last 10 yrs. Now big Nintendo stars like Link,Kirby and fox have taken a back seat to Samus? Wow that is a shocker. Granted Golden Sun DS was a major surprise....and I am still foaming at the mouth quite a bit. All the other stuff wasn't new NEW stuff. Being in the industry a s I am now, you catch hints from developers in interviews and rumor's all the time . With that view point in mind, Im no longer really look at Nintendo press coverage from a fan's perspective.

Although did grow up with a Nes and a GB! Nintendo will always be about everyone and I feel this show demonstrated that. Still you can't help but feel, a little let down that Link won't be appearing other then on the DS anytime soon. But Mario can have 4 games and Link gets one? I know its a little juvenile, but how is that fair? The only thing that made me angry this year was the Sony press conference big reveal of their PSP Go (that looks like an over priced DS) and the "NEW" motion controls that vaguely resemble the Wii mote and Nun-chuck. The sincerest form of flattery is when you copy someone. But if Nintendo can get sued by companies for the Wii mote concept, how can Sony get away with this? That just doesn't sit well with me at all. Other then that I enjoyed this years E3 and watched the whole thing with Mrs Kwing.

The Wii has sold 20 MILLION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA We can finally put Gamecube behind us. This is the 1st time in almost 15 yrs since Nintendo has been market Leader. Just one more Million and Wii will have out sold Gamecube!

Sadly after much thought and planning Nintendo Legends is finally dead. However in 2008 there will be a website that I am a part of it called Fireflowergames.com. The ste is being designed using the latest flash technology and has a teaser page open. The site will offer forums,podcasts,my reviews and buying products for Nintendo Wii. There is still much work to be done and I am not the leader of this but FFG is going to be new and exicting. Please check it out. :D

The full review will be up probably before the 30th I have like 50 stars and have almost beaten Galaxy. From what I can tell you is this game is better then Mario 64. Before you send a mob after me let me explain. -ahem- The Wii controls are tailored made for this game. Gravity control is flawless. Visuals are very well done best looking Wii game to date. The Music is 100% Orchestrated!!!

There is amazing boss battles! Challenging puzzles,40 Galaxies each one different then the last. High replay value because there is always more to do in the Galaxy you were last at. The camera control has been fixed since Sunshine. Everything you loved about how Mario controlled in Mario 64 is back. There is also another character you can play as!One more thing the 2 player co op is so much fun. My wife is playing through a game with me. Its not Smash Bros or Kirby, which she will play. But she and I are having a blast.

Big news if your a Nintnendo fan! Not only has the Wii shipped 13.1 million units since their release of the Wii 11 months ago, they have sold 12.8 million and aren't stopping there! Iwata also gave the announcement of buying and sharing VC games with people on your friends list! How cool is that!!!!! On top of all this news with the 2 new VIPs at Nintendo. The Big N is going to selling Wii in China! Isn't that insane! China is a wicked hard country to market videogames too. No other current gen company has been able to sell there systems over in China. But next yr Wii will be sold in CHINA! That's it people the console race is over! Nintendo has won! It's taken Nintendo almost 20 yrs for them to reclaim there throne and Wii has done it. :D

Sorry but it is true the union will coming to a close this week. My reviews have become a big hit and I will now focus all my online energy in that area. But don't worry I'll still have time to Smash it up in Febuary. Well thanks for all your support, check me out on youtube.

I have mixed feelings as to this. For one Im kind of sad that I won't be kicking butt and taking names come Christmas season. But this does give Smash fans a lot more stuff that can go in the game. Like a ton of fighters, Stages, items and content. If there going to delay the game, then this gives us a lot of hope. Would you rather have a rushed product just to go against Microsofts Halo?

Well? The anwser of course would be No. Mario and Sonic has a release date and its in December. Nintendo almost never releases big 1st pary titles the same month. However; Mario and Sonic is a 2nd party title developed by Sega. But this fall there are tons of big Wii titles like the successor to Mario 64, Mario Galaxy. Or the continued story to Fire Emblem POR on Wii. By delaying Brawl this gives Nintendo's other franchises time to shine. Remember Zelda just released and its selling rather well. That will be a big Christmas item. Nintendo DS and Wii both will have a good Christmas selling season.

Microsofts Halo is not in the runings with Nintendo. There are 11 Million 360 owners and it took them 2yrs to get that many owners. Halo 3 has broken all kinds of records but Bill gates had them hyped and endrosed by big companies like Pepsi and time warner. But they have still only sold 11 million systems. Nintendo's Smash Bros and Halo are not in the same category.

Infact Halo is 22nd top selling VG franchise of all time! However; it is tied with these longer more established fracnchises, Castlevania, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Metal Gear, Rayman among may other many others. Another thing about Halo it is a good FPS but that is all. Halo 3 will sell 8 or 11 million and it will stop. Microsoft and Bungie have parted ways yet Microsoft now owns the rights to Halo and Halo will be a microsoft property from now on.

Nintendo's franchises are Mario is the top selling game franchise of all time with 201 Million games sold. Pokemon is 2nd with 160 Million sold. Followed by Legend Of Zelda 7th at 55 Million sold, Donkey Kong is 9th with 50 million sold. Then you have Brain age is 35th, Nintendogs is 39th, Metroid is 44th, Wii Sports 45th and Smash Bros is 47th selling game series of all time. Smash Bros only has 2 games right now and they made the list!

Smash Bros is a fighting game. The top selling fighting game is Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Melee is the 2nd top selling at 7 Million. I do think based on Wii's success of 11 Million sold so far that delaying Brawl will not hurt there sales of the system during Christmas season. They do sell 680,000 systems a month and hold 41% of the current gen market.
I am a little disappointed but I know Nintendo will make it up. Maybe by finally confirming Captain Falcon and other vets. Also the online is free but maybe this gives Sakurai and his team time to improve upon it.
