Can't see the Blog for the Fog?

:roll:Trying to update my account somewhat. Lots of old posts & information missing, so excuse the ramblings.

2009 was an excellent year for us gamers, maybe not so good for some of the publishers, but everyone seems to be feeling the pinch at the moment. Enjoyed the anticipation of Uncharted 2 & Assassins Creed 2 as much as the games. Spent many an hour reading different reviews, from Magazines to game forums. Was not disappointed at all.

Biggest surprise of the year has to be Borderlands. Not sure what I expected with this one, the graphics are done in a very original way, but I suppose you could have guessed at the game play-----WRONG! The leveling up & looting makes this one of the most playable games to date, chuck in some good online play& Down Load Content & they really made a brilliant game. I'm a level, well by the time you read this it will be 50 Mordecai. Spent the majority of upgrade points on Bloodwing, go get 'em Blood!

Recently, I've gone back to the Ishimura to have another look round with Mr Clark. Second round level 10, still enjoy the scares of going round the next corner, hope DS2 can live up to the hype, we'll have to wait and see!

Enjoy reading all your reviews & comments, feel free to add me or track & I'll do the same. Gamespot has a great online community, with a wide range of users stretching from far & wide. With so much conflict in the world, isn't it a tad ironic that games bring people together, even if we are blowing stuff up, huh, that can be 'thought of the day.'

Thanks for reading, bye.

40gb PS3 forgets where its at?

Hi there.

I've had my PS3 for well over a year now, and really enjoy most of the next gen games, as there is such a vast improvement on the PS2's/Equivalents. But, I do have a gripe, that is just coming to light. I have about 25 games in my collection, that equates to about 20 saves on the hard drive. Each time a new game goes in, I have to remove something to free up some space. Now, the only thing I have that takes space, is the demo's from official magazines. I have no movies, photos, music...nothing. I have deleted off the last few demos today to make room for a new game, and to be honest, its starting to grate. The next thing I will need to do, is start clearing saved game data from the ones I have completed. I don't want to do that, chances are, I will not go back to games like Dark sector, Heavenly sword, Haze, but why the hell should I delete files, it just seems unfair. Is the 40GB Console far to inadequate when it comes to the memory, or am I just being fussy, feedback please.

Dazed & confused user.

Destroy all humans; path of the furon

Being a massive fan of the DAH games on the PS2, I was really looking forward to the next gen realise. So, Feb 13th, emptied my wallet at the till and took home a very special game, excitement levels at max, I felt like a kid again!

Had some difficulty loading it up, had to change some settings, I still don't know what I did, some sort of change settings thingy, but I shall not blame that on the game, although have not had it with any other games before or since. The start sequence on the first 2 DAH games, put you in the mood, gives you great back ground stories and makes you eager to start neon blasting tiny minded humans. This one, well can't remember it already. Maybe because I was wondering what was wrong with the graphics? Very rushed at THQ while this game was in development? Run out of finance? Someone explain, please. Very undetailed, blocky looking, scetchy cut scenes, the movements jolty, I am really disappointed. Crypto was my favorite character, but the next gen game has totally destroyed this humans love affair with the series.

THQ, if the game is not ready for realise, keep it back, don't push it through, you do more damage that way.
