Sup ladies and gents friday i finally coped the game iv been wanting for the longest and that game would be Alan Wake.Im only about a hour and a half into the game and the story is simply amazing.When i first fired up the game my eyes damn neared dropped out of my head because of how beautiful and detailed the game is.Iv seen loads of gameplay footage on youtube and hear on GS but you really have to be playing it to see how amazing the world looks.If you have a 360 you need this game.And i also got GTA4 but i wont talk much about that game...Oh snap i almost forgot today is 9/11 lets all bow our heads for a 5 second count..1...2..3..4..5.

Hey guys i just wanted to make a quick little update blog so first off today was my first day at my new school.The teachers are nice and so are my classmates this is the perfect way to start off my senior year.And on the gaming side of things i have managed to save up some money for a new game but im still in a decision on either getting Halo reach or Black Ops.And yea i know i said i probably wont get black ops but the multiplayer trailer has me back on the fence of buying it.I hate not knowing what game i want to buy :evil:.Anyway thanks for reading guys

11.Super Mario Galaxy

Yes,it had the same old story,Browser kidnaps Princess Peach and Mario makes it his first priority to get her back but despite this the game was still different in many ways.One of which was the setting this game took place in,outer space.The theme of Mario Galaxy is so beautiful that it could easily be mistaken for a game in HD.Sparks fly as you move Mario through the sky and the lighting system is top notch.But most importantly this propelled the Mario franchise when it was in a huge slump.Mario Galaxy was innovative and beautiful and should be known as that game that sprung new life into the Mario franchise.

10.Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Call of Duty Modern Warfare was a great game and what made it so great was the fact that none of us was anticipating it to turn out so good.The story line was the best out of all the CoDs and it even kept some of us emotionally attachted to some characters.But eventhough the single player had all that the big bang of this game was the online multiplayer.There was deep customization for all of the guns and the game had a huge arsenal of guns to choose from.It was simply just something us gamers had never experienced and CoD4 brought it to us on a sliver platter.

9.Uncharted 2: Among Theives

Uncharted 2 is one phenomenal game.It has amazing graphics,it won GoTY of 09,it sold well, and the list goes on.Uncharted 2 delivered on all cylinders including a amazing story.And no i havnt played the game but i have looked at walkthroughs and gameplay on youtube and just by that i got sucked into the story.I want this game so badly but i dont think putting in a U2 disc into my 360 will do me any good :P

8.Grand Theft Auto 4

This generations GTA was great and its arguably the best GTA ever made.One big surprise about GTA4 was that it was going to the 360 which im sure made a lot of Sony fanboys butthurt but hay since we all got the game we all win.And another big thing about GTA4 was that it was going to be the first installment in the franchise to have online multiplayer which made this game that much harder to wait for.Grand Theft Auto 4 went on to sell 609,000 on day 1 and was everything but a disappointment,it got high scores from all review sites and it even got a perfect 10 here on GameSpot.

7.Gears of War 1 & 2

Gears of War was the most anticipated game of 2006 and when it came out it blew up.Everybody with a 360 was playing it.It was so different to what we were so used to playing when this came out this is all we wanted to play.Gears went on to win a s**** load of awards some including GotY and best shooter of the year.And 2 years later Gears 2 arrives and its just as big but it included a multiplayer mode called horde which made Gears 2 that much better and fun.And now like me all of the Gears fans are impatiently waiting for Gears 3 :P

6.BioShock

One of thecreepiest games you can get your hands on is infact BioShock.BioShock in its own right is different from all other games and creates a tone that will suck you into the world of Rapture.BioShocks story is great and its a blast to play through.Graphics,story,sound i mean everthing is top notch in this game.If you havnt played this game.GO GET IT!I cant emphasize that enough.

5.Halo 3

Halo 3 was a very very hyped game.All of the Halo fans expected it to be amazing and it was.The story of Halo 3 was the conclusion to the series but despite that, a Halo 4 could be infact made considering how Halo 3 ended.But anyway im getting off-topic :P so the multiplayer part of Halo 3 is great.Its better than all past Halos and we can finally be able to customize our spartans armor.Halo 3 gets deeper into the story behind Master chief and its one heck of a ride!

4.Fallout 3

I have been told many times thatFallout 3 is the best RPG game ever.And recently i played it on my friends PS3 and its pretty cool,d*** better than what i was expecting.I could really see myself getting into this game i mean its not the best polished game out there buts it is very fun.

3.Little Big Planet

This no doubt is the most innovative game ever made.There are 2 million fan made stages online and that number is only growing.That should speak for itself.

2.Mass Effect 1 & 2

Simply put Mass Effect is a very epic game.The story will leave you craving for more and the longevity is through the roof.

1.Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

I might be going with Medal of Honor.Call of Duty is getting too predictable,we already know what the games structure will be like(short story mode and the same multiplayer that we have been playing since CoD4)and it hasnt even came out yet.But anyway what game are you guys going with?

5.Nintendo 64 still using cartridges

CDs were the future back in the N64 days.Im not sure why Nintendo insisted on the 64 to use cartridges but because of them going this route it sure did hurt them and there console in the long run.Some Publishers didnt even work with the N64 because they had more freedom to do things on the PSOne which used the almighty CDs resluting in Nintendo losing some heavy titles like Metal gear Solid.

4. Xbox 360 lack of WiFi

Who doesnt love running a long ethernet cable through there house just to play online,right?No but seriously its pretty sad that the 360 didnt come with Wifi.The PS3 has it,the Wii has it,and heck even the DS has it!But Microsoft didnt think that we would all have a problem running a 60ft ethernet cable through our homes.This really does shows the lazyness of Microsoft.And yea sure they made a new 360 with built in Wifi but only if they would have thought of this 5 years ago everything would be dandy.

3.PS3s Long System Updates

Now i dont have a PS3 but i have heard from people that it takes 30 minutes to a hour or longer for 1 system update which is ridiculous.Come on Sony!It cant be that hard since Microsoft can make system updates that takes only a few seconds to download.

2.PSP Go?....They Should have made a PSP2

Sony are usually good with putting out great consoles but the PSP Go was just a horrible idea.First and formost the system is to small for gaming.When i first picked up the PSP Go i thought to myself ok this is cool but as soon as i fliped it open and started up a game my fingers were everywhere.Now secondly the thing that basically killed this system was the fact that it had no support for UMDs.And last but not least i would have to say Sony could had made a better system than the PSP Go which infact could had been a PSP2.Everybody including me was anxious to see a PSP2 with next gen hardware but when Sony announced this we were all very disappointed.

1.Nintendo Wii lack of next generaton Hardware

Will Nintendo ever learn that they always need to be better if not on par with there competitors?First it was the N64 with the lack of CDs then it was the Gamecube with the lack of DVDs and now its the Wii with the lack of next generation hardware.And this hit nintendo the hardest out of the 3.I cant name how many games the Wii has passed up because of how weak it is.I wonder what Nintendo will do wrong next generation..

Games of this generation are getting much better year after year.With developers dedicated to learning more about how to use the Xbox 360 and PS3s hardware better and spending countless hours working on their game to make it the next big thing.And because of this reviewers usually tend to bump up the games overall score.Reviewers fawn over the big budget triple A games resulting in them praising the games in their reviews.And theres no doubt about it that some of these games are great but do they deserve the high scores reviewers give them when there so easy?

Take games like Modern Warfare 2,and Alan Wake for example,there all were very hyped,they all had big budgets,and they all got great review scores.But did any of you guys play through these games more then once or twice?Game reviews do touch on all subjects including how easy or hard the game is but even though this does get a mention it doesnt have a big enough factor in the overall score.I dont know about you guys but after i played through Modern Warfare 2 and saw how short and easy the game was i felt kinda mad.And even on the highest difficulty setting the game is still easy as he*%.Here on GameSpot Red Dead Redemption got a 9.5 on both 360 and PS3 and although i dont have the game i have heard from loads of people about how easy it is to complete the game now shouldnt that alone made that 9.5 come down to at least a 8.9 or so?Triple A titles are expensive these days and we shouldn't forget that we're in the midst of a global recession; reviewers have a responsibility to mark games not just on their graphical stand point or there story but on their longevity and replayability.Us gamers aren't made of money and i dont know about you guys but if i spend $60 i want it to be worth every penny.
