When I've only even heard of one of them, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Doesn't matter much; I cancelled Netflix back in January - to beat the rush. LOL
Will miss Peaky Blinders, but it's had a great run and done as much as I think it could have. Never heard of any of the rest of the failures, but hoping most were Obama jobs.
@benjy117: I'm not expecting much on Thursday, but I'll give it a whack, might even settle for a lower-end Gigabyte 3080 model - I'm not interested in any of the AAA games and don't overclock, but my little 1660 (I built this box for stock-trading charting and it's more than enough for that) is wheezing with Microsoft Flight Simulator and I have the HP Reverb G2 on order for VTOL VR. Plus I'm driving a 43" LG 4k panel, but only at 60Hz, so my needs aren't cutting edge but I need something better than the 1660 and I want it to be suitable for many years. I also expect my GPU to run cool and quiet, and don't use RGB, so I'll take that over OC and snappy looks.
If I can't get a FE or lower-end aftermarket 3080 at MSRP, I'm ok with waiting for restock in a month or two - I will not overpay or buy a rocketship OC card that I'll never take advantage of, and if I have to wait I'll have the advantage of real info on the AMD 6000 series to consider as well. I think a base 3080-range of performance will be just fine for me and once the enhanced versions start to appear and get the attention of the top-end customers, I think the "plain jane" model availability and prices will be much better if I miss out right at the starting gate this week.
@nintendians: that sounds like a smart idea - I'm planning to do the same. I've been doing just fine with a 1660 since I built my new box a year ago for stock charts, but then MSFS came along..............
