R.I.P Proof

So last night, I found out that Big Proof from D12 was killed.  I still can't believe it.  He was one of the all time greatest rappers.  One of my favorite.  He was not only the best D12 member, he was just all around good at rapping.  I hope they catch and put down whoever did it.  It is also my understanding that Proof shot this one guy first and the bouncer then shot Proof.  I really want to find out what happened between the two to get the to shoot each other.  Anyways, I'll never forget Proof aka Derty Harry.  R.I.P

Oblivion...9.6?!

So Oblivion is one of the best games ever made apparently.  I knew that it wouldn't get over a 9.3 at most...but it somehow did.  So I got it and have been playing it recently and I must say that this is one of Gamespot's only reviews that I don't agree with.  A 9.6 is way up there and this game most definitely does not meet 9.6 standards.  First off, the games graphics are good but the loading times and sketchy frame rate really take a lot away.  I guess they though they could full us by making the load times shorter but doubling the amount of them.  There is also some thing about how the game play is so good.  I must admit that it is a lot better than Morrowind, but still gets old pretty quick.  One of my biggest problems with the game is how unbalanced the classes are, which surprised me because GS's review praised how balanced they were.  I tried starting a thief type character but couldn't because the games just not meant for them.  The enemies will tear you apart.  Its basically a warriors game.  I'm not going to point out everything I think is wrong with the game here, but for it to get a 9.6?!  Think about Halo, WoW, or even FFVII.  Halo and FFVII only got a 9.7 and to even think that Oblivion is within .1 of these games is just insane.  And WoW...I've been playing that game for a year straight and only have one character.  So no, Oblivion does not deserve a 9.6, not at all.  Maybe a 9.0 at most.

Update

Just posted my review of Quake 4 on the 360.  I'm still trying to get around to posting my review for Fight Night Round 3 on the 360, but I was sick last week and have a ton of make up work for school.  I also started a new WoW character.  A troll mage on Kul Tiras I believe is the name of the server.  This is my second character.  I started him because my 60 night elf druid on Azjol-Nerub was always queued and could never get on during peak hours, so me and my brother decided to start new characters on a low population server, just to kill time during peak hours.  Now it turns out that I have forgot how fun it was to level and am stuck playing as him.  I really want to play as my druid, but its really not as fun.  I'm still trying to keep his PvP rank up though so I can get cool armor with him.  But I'm really devoting most of my time to my mage.  Both of their name is Teleto so you can find me.  Also, GRAW comes out this week.  I'll try to get a review of it up, but I might be too busy playing it.

Greatest Characters of All Time

So I got the idea of starting a blog on video games greatest characters ever.  So I'll go ahead and induct the first member.

Chances are, if someone was to say "Look, its the guy with the yellow spikey hair," one person would come to mind.  His name is Cloud Strife.  From Final Fantasy VII, he is a legend.  I mean he so cool, if you google him for pictures, you get more pictures of Cloud than you would of actual photos of clouds.  He is easily recognizable and is so awesome, it is not even funny.

Cloud is the main character of the best RPG ever created.  And you can't even argue with that statement, its like a fact.  Everything about Cloud is cool and he is a character I'll never forget.  That is why he has been inducted into the Characters Hall of Fame.

New Banner

I just got Photo Shop from a friend so I decided to make myself a banner.  I'm very pleased with the way that it turned out and I feel it is some of my best work with the program thus far.  Sure beats the heck out of paint.  Anyways, I'm recently got Fight Night Round 3 and rented Quake 4 (both for the 360), so I'll try and get a review of the two up as soon as I'm done playing them.  Check back with me sometimes.

WoW, I'm getting mad

Ok, so I used to think that Blizzard provided great service for their games.  Now I'm thinking differently.  I know that WoW is a very popular game and I've even seen Blizzard taking steps to correcting the problem of the massive over population.  So...why is it that I'm having to wait an hour to log onto my server?  That is complete crap.  I pay $15 a month for a game that I can't even play when I want?  Maybe I'm the idiot for that.  I've seen where they've disabled character creations in some realms, but my realm, Azjol-Nerub, has be maxed out for a long time and there hasn't been any character creations disabled.  Its crap.  A freaking hour to log on.  When a server is so full that me and 600 other people are waiting to log on to our characters, then we have a huge problem.  How about Blizzard takes the $15 I pay them a month and make some more God dang servers?

"Its only the demo"

Chances are that you've played a demo of a game before.  Also, chances are that you've played the full version once it was released.  There usually is no difference at all between the two, whether it be good or bad.  The game that I have recently had experience with was Fight Night Round 3.  I was so excited to play the demo, so when I got it, I was disappointed by the sluggish controls.  I thought the game was very slow and it really wasn't as intense as its predecessors.  I checked the forums to see if anyone felt the same way and found many who did.  As I read over them, the number one reply was, "Its only the demo."  Well, this is true, but how often have you actually known them to change the game from the demo to the final product.  Never.  You read everywhere about people complaining about how demos have something wrong with them and others replying that its only the demo and they'll fix it when the full game comes out, but lets face it, they never do.  So if it was up to me, I'd take away the saying, "Its only a demo," because while it may be only a demo, its almost an exact replica of what the finished product will be like.

Screw Blockbuster

Alright, so Blockbuster has finally got 360 games in for rent.  It took them a while, but their here.  Luckily, I have Game Fly and am renting all my 360 games through there because of their wide selection of games and cheap price.  So me and a friend go into Blockbuster because there are no 360 games to play and we want to see if they have anything.  Well, we find that Full Auto is in and decide to rent it, regardless of its bad reviews.  When we get up to the desk, they tell us that we have to have a credit card.  This is really gay.  Apparently, they are ok if someone steals a $50 game, but $60 games are unacceptable.  Thats absolutely ridiculous.  So now were stuck playing games that we've played out.  Thanks a lot Blockbuster for being gay.

Hail to GRAW

Its no secret that the 360 has a huge lack of good games right now.  However, there is one that is shining so bright that I can't wait to get my hands on it.  Ever since Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter was announced, I've kept my eye on it.  Love Ubisoft and their games, especially the Splinter Cell series.  I've always like Ghost Recon as well.  So when it was delayed at launch, I was pretty upset.  I've only became more upset as the time went by and there has been no other good games to come out.  Right now, I'm seeing how high I can get my gamer score by renting 360 games over Game Fly, beating them, and sending them back.  But that is besides the point, GRAW has recently been brought to everyones attention.  Everyone feels as though there aren't enough good games out and would like to get their hands on a new game.  GRAW looks like it will be that game.  With all the previews and such they are doing, I can say that I am really impressed at how the game is coming along.  It looks great, sounds great, and the animations look sweet.  With all this being said, I cannot wait until March 9, because when I get my hands on this game, I'll be done for.  Goodbye social life, hello GRAW.

My Goal is Level 20

Just posting because I'm about to hit level 15 in my profile.  I've come a long ways in a brief period time.  I'm hoping to hit level 20 real soon.
