Every game has its own hype.

All games have their own form of hype. The major ones have major hype. The not so popular games have hype by the people that are really interested in the game. Even little kids get all hyped up by games like "Pokemon" or "Avatar".

With Grand Theft Auto IV arriving in two days (April 29th), there have been massive amount of hype covering GameSpot, gamers that love the series, and basically the world. Basically, everybody who is anybody should be getting this game. People are predicting that the game will be "epic", and "next-gen". As a major fan of the series, and seeing and hearing what I've heard about the game, I actually believe these statements.

But, this hype brings me back to old games. Halo 3, Rock Band, BioShock, Assassin's Creed, and even Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Everyone of these games was supposed to be "epic" and yet had some flaws. Halo 3 was really short, Rock Band had hardware issues (and Guitar Hero fanboys angered by it). BioShock had the somewhat mysterious story, and Assassin's Creed was really short, and would be repetitive at some points. Lastly, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas had some glitch problems, and let's not forget the "Hot Coffee" scandal.

Every major game has at least one flaw. Well, from all I've heard and the last "excellent" experience I had from playing GTA: SA, part of me says that the new Grand Theft Auto will not have any noticable flaws, or if any really minor flaws.

But I also thought of another thing. There are always those one anti-hype gamers. They find that some games are overhyped and go on and on about how bad the game sucks. Well, those gamers have to get used to.

Personally, I think that any person who gets frustrated by "popularity" of games shouldn't even be on websites like GameSpot. If they have a good reason, then they should feel free to explain. If they just plain don't like the game and just like to bash the game and those that like it, then they should not even be considered gamers.

If you don't like a game, or the hype, get over it. Just think about some of your favorite games and remember the hype it got.

I'm going to predict the GameSpot score/review of Grand Theft Auto IV

This game is supposed to be phenomenal, and from all the hype that surrounds it, I'm actually going to predict that this game recieves a 10 out of 10.

Sounds a bit crazy, but something tells me that the game will be nearly flawless. Much bigger and detailed (different looking as well) Liberty City, online play (finally!), improved combat system, the works..this will probably get a 10, or really close.

My second prediction was a 9.5 out of 10.

Finally beat "Green Grass and High Tides" on Expert on Rock Band

After 6-8 tries, I finished this insanely annoying song on Expert on solo tour for guitar. And as a result, I beat Expert on guitar and since I never played the other difficulties, I got all guitar Solo achievements. I'm 140 Gamerscore richer and I also completed my "Obtain a total of 5000 gamerscore" objective. I went from around 4800 Gamerscore to 4995, then about 30 minutes ago, 4995 to 5135. YEAH!

If waiting for Grand Theft Auto IV is this annoying...imagine Gears of War 2.

I really like the Gears of War series, (it's probably my favorite game or on par with a select few of other games.) I pre-ordered the collector's edition of Gears of War 2 back in February or early March, (I forget), and with Grand Theft Auto IV coming out in just five days, five days feels like forever...well if I love Gears of War a little more or about the same, the month of November is going to be very long.

Plus, I think a pretty good amount of people like Gears more than GTA. To me, it's about the same or a little more for each. So, to the people who are anticipating Grand Theft Auto IV and Gears of War 2, Gears of War 2 may seem like a more painful wait. Luckily for some people who got GTA, or Metal Gear Solid or Super Smash Bros. Brawl, they may be hold off a lot if not the entire time without agony.

Giving up playing the Xbox 360 til Tuesday...sort of.

When I got my 360 last year, I was the only one who played it since my sister didn't like any of the games. But ever since I got Guitar Hero III and Rock Band, we've been sort of sharing it. She now plays it a lot, so instead of old "unlimited" playing, I now get 3-5 hours a day at the most. Which isn't bad, but I miss playing it as long as I want.

Well, now that I'm getting Grand Theft Auto IV, the whole "I want to play now" will be not be heard when I'm playing this highly-anticipated game. I won't want to hear it, cause I probably will be hooked all week next week.

So...I made a deal with my sister. She plays the 360 all week until Tuesday, with the exception of me playing if she is not around (but if I'm playing, she can tell me stop playing at once). But on Tuesday of next week (day of GTA release) until Sunday, I get the 360 to myself.

Sounds difficult, cause I may just stop playing until it comes out. But if Grand Theft Auto IV is as epic as I hope (and sort of expect), then it will be alright.

I officially have a pre-order for Grand Theft Auto IV!

Thanks to Best Buy Rewards Zone program, my G.P.A., and my parents, I was able to get a pre-order on a game I really want.

$20= Reward Zone

My incredible parents plus a cumulative GPA of 3.73= the $40 I needed to get it.

Plus I did a little work for them. But this is fricken sweet. I love being a smart kid lol.

I'm trying to find a way to get Grand Theft Auto IV.

With only 12 days away until its release, I'd normally be psyched. I mean it's a Grand Theft Auto game, one of my favorite video game series. But I'm not psyched because...I haven't pre-ordered my copy yet.

Why? Cause I decided to spend my Christmas money on Call of Duty 4 and a talkbox for my guitar. I hardly use the talk box anymore, and I could have bought three video games with the amount I spent on it. I have no money at all right now, and McDonalds still hasn't called me back about my application (I wonder why).

So, if I want the game, I have to raise $60 in 12 days, with no job, or any possible way of getting. I have a $20 gift certificate to Best Buy, but that's about it. I'd still be $40 short.

This sucks too. I love GTA. I pre-ordered San Andreas seven months before it came...why didn't I for GTA IV?!

(WILL I GET IT?!)

First Thoughts: Assassin's Creed

Right away when I was playing Assassin's Creed, I knew I was in for a treat. This game just blew me away. It wasn't as epic as I thought, but I love how greatly it recreates the feeling of being an assassin. I love jumping from building to building. I also love swordfighting with the guards and countering.

(Yep this is what I'm doing at the crack of dawn)

I like this game, and unfortunately, I have no intention of buying it. I will, however, beat it before I have to return it. I could use the achievement points. (For that one objective too!)

I rented another game.

And yes, this time it's Assassin's Creed.

Hopefully it's really good.

Oh and two things:

1. I complete an objective for playing this (woo-hoo!)
2. I didn't realize I could've kept the Orange Box and still rent this too, so I turned in The Orange Box when I could have kept it for a couple more days. :(
