I finally got the Killing Machine trophy in Resistance 2, one of the most time consuming trophies ever. Was working on it for about 4 months now, played ranked online for 76 hours in 555 matches. Now have 35 Platinum trophies in my collection.

Time to take a breather...

I can't help but notice that most sequels are really bad these days. I really looked forward to most of these games, and most of them dissapoint. Sure they are good games, but bad sequels. Lets start with Final Fantasy XIII.

Final Fantasy XIII has nothing to actually be a Final Fantasy. What happened to the cool villain? Where's the deep and long story? The story could have been so much more there are hardly any twists, and gameplay is so linear, repetitive and boring. Sure it has Chocobos (yay), and a guy named Cid (whose role is pathetic) but that simply wont cut it. FF series is ruined.

Next is Resident Evil 5.

Majinis are such a bad idea, what happened to the real zombies ? Where are the puzzles ? Why isn't there any backtracking or key items to find ? It's just a shallow linear shooter. RE4 wasn't any better either. RE series is ruined.

Off to Metal Gear Solid 4.

Sure it's a great story and experience, but they forgot to actually make a game. There are 25 hours of cut scenes and only 3 hours of playing. Not to mention only 5 levels and they are very short. Did anyone notice how levels become smaller as they advance? First one was longest and the last one is only 2 rooms! There are too many action sequences and not enough sneaking and tactical patrol evading. What were they thinking?!

Parasite Eve was such an amazing game on PSX. Did anyone see the trailer for the new one? Yes it's gonna be a shooter, what did you expect? Why go from RPG into a shooter ? You're doing it wrong!

Devil May Cry 4, sure the action is good. But the story, OMG the story...... its pathetic. The bosses are really shallow and show no character at all, terrible lines too. DMC3 was way above this crap. Why do they make us fight those 3 bosses 10 times in a single playtrough? It's a cheap method, and why make us repeat the entire game again with a different character but this time backwards?! A floating old man as a final boss ?! I dont think so. Where are all the cool fighting cut scenes like the intro ? They just forgot about that. This game fails on so many levels.

If you wanna make something new then go make something new and don't butcher the good ones.

It's a real hassle to get your levels some popularity and good ratings. There are so many levels being published every second, that your creations will get dropped to bottom in a matter of seconds. This is where all the silly exploits and stupid workarounds come in, people keep republishing their levels about 100 times per day so they can be on the top and get seen by others and hopefully get some plays and ratings or hearts. But everybody keeps doing that and now everything is a mess. The only way to get your level some attention is advertising it on the forums across the net and making trailers on youtube, it makes me very sad that it came down to this.

I hate it how there will always be people who will give your levels a bad rating, no matter how good it is or how much time and effort you invested in creating it. For example I saw a comment that went like this "plz heart it took me 30 minutes to make it". WTF?! You can't be serious right? Levels are supposed to take hundreds of hours making them, but instead we get those H4H filling the community levels with junk.

So what does H4H mean you ask ? It's a tag meaning "heart for heart", basically you give your level this tag, and other people will know the level was made just to get hearted, in return you promise to go heart their levels. It's a very cheap method, especially when those levels are just empty space. I understand that not everyone can make a good level, but you should at least try and give it your all. Keep practicing and creating stuff you will eventually get better and make great levels that are fun to play. Every person has their own taste so it's not possible to make a level that everyone will like, but I give good ratings to people who clearly did their best even though the level could be a bit more polished.

But as far as I understand it all comes down to this, to get good ratings you have to make an easy level, nobody wants to die, but is a little challenge such a bad thing? Why play a game if you just want to see the pretty decorations? A game is meant to be played! It just has to be fair and balanced. The easier level you make the better rating it will get. So why is that ? Because the community consists of people who are not gamers at all, and it's destroying the game. LBP2 is gonna be a very good game with many great features I'm sure, but it'll bring us just as much trash.

I'll be honest here, it sucks. It's so bad I can't look at it anymore.... lol I'm just kidding, its AMAZING! The changes they made are simply incredible. There is just one problem, you will have to devote your time to mastering all of the new tools. You can pretty much make anything (if you're up to it, have an idea and invest a lot of time), from interactable story driven characters with AI, to gravity tweaks. The new versus mode makes a great addition, I can't wait for people to make crazy stuff for pvp. They mentioned something about making whole new games, and it seems to be true with what I have seen in the last 12 hours. I really don't know what to say, there is just so much here that I could talk about it all day, but it left me speechless.

I got invited to LBP2 private beta a few hours ago, there is 2 gb to download so it will take a while. I wont be ignoring this offer since opportunities like these are rare. The beta starts tomorrow and ends in 3 weeks time. I'm gonna go have some fun, and hopefully help make it better by reporting some bugs. I'm hoping it's gonna be a blast. I was gonna get it but if it turns out that the improvements simply aren't all that amazing I wont be bothered with getting the same game twice. Lets hope for the best. Just a reminder, the game ships out on 16.11.2010, should be enough for a months time of testing, and then one more month for fixing.

Okay so it's a popularity contest, it has nothing to do with an actual battle so it doesn't matter who is stronger, but only who is a better character as a whole. So naturally the newest characters are gonna win, because people haven't been playing for the last 30 years and have no idea who most of these guys are, even if they are much better then the new ones. With each new year we get more gamers, both casual and hardcore, wii sought to that. But this should be separated by year it should be more like greatest game villain of 2010, and feature only newest characters introduced or featured in games of 2010. It's really unfair because many older chars are simply better in every way but nobody votes for them because they are new to gaming and don't care about older ones. so its all unfair and unbalanced. This voting should also be held every year accordingly, but not mixed because this simply doesn't work. The character roster is also horrible, who decided on that ? How could Purple Tentacle go against Psycho mantis, and why does GTA even have 3 entries when there are som much more better characters to replace them with. How could Ocelot lose to Team Rocket ? Why did LeChuck lose to Akuma ? This shouldn't be happening! They are much better characters as a whole, so keep them separated accordingly because nobody now knows who they even are. Kerrigan and Gruntilda, you have got to be kidding me. Don't even get me started on Sephiroth and RAAM, or Irenicus and Shao Khan. If you truly want the "best of all time" then only winners of previous years should be participating in this, not just random characters. How can we get the greatest villain of ALL TIME, when only new players are now voting, and not the older players who actually witnessed Baldur's Gate. This is such a waste of everyones time. If you wanna do it then do it right!

I really don't understand what clans are all about anymore, its just a useless waste of time. I can't even finish a round of Resistance 2 deatmatch without getting an invite. Every time I finish in top 3 I keep getting invites to join some stupid clans. By the time I finish my playing session, my inbox is full of trash. It's like someone is watching the scoreboard and says "Hey look this guy is pretty good and he isn't in a clan. Quick ! Invite him before somebody else does! We need more people, we just can't get enough, we will be the worlds biggest and unorganized clan!" And so I join in hope of some fun time. But what do I see ? 68 members offline, every single day in a row. What's the point in having a clan with lots of members when nobody is interested in playing ? Its just a bunch of people you will never get to know.

Clan play is supposed to be tactical team play, so you should never have more than 10 players, otherwise you will never learn your teammates strength and weaknesses, therefore team play doesn't exist if you're just a mob of people who do as they wish. You know back in the day, clans were made out of professional players to participate in tournaments, but today every casual gamer thinks its cool to make a clan with a tag [lol] or [o_O] or [PWN]. You should be proud to wear you clan tag, and strive for being the best out there and not make a clown out of yourself. There is no point to it if every kid on the block is a clan leader, it simply loses its meaning. There should be no such thing as a casual clan.

Whats wrong with you people ? Stop trying to be pro if you clearly dont have the willpower, time and patience to achieve it. Its the same as creating a band, every member needs to be there of their own will, and participate because of passion. Don't drag bystanders into something they are not interested in. Oh yeah and actually communicating with people would be a good start. I know there is someone on the other end of the internet, why are you pretending to be a zombie ?
