"battle-hardened veteran in his mid-thirties with a nihilistic point of view"
Finally! We can finally try playng a truly unique character! This will so be better then all those battle hardened veterans with nihilistic points of view who where in their 20's we played before...
Its mainly because when you think "voice of an empire" we in the west think of the British as they were the most recent in our memory as the last "empire". So western devs and filmakers use their accent when they want to envoke such imperial concepts ( think the Empire in Star Wars.) Now granted the Italian accent (which was probably different then todays) would have been pretty damn intimidating during this era!
What signs? You said it yourself not a few posts back that they have "revealed nothing so far." I could understand if we had a clear idea of what this game holds in store but all we have is a basic press release filled with the typical fluff language that all devs put into them. I know people are ticked at Bioware/EA and the games produced, God knows I have a laundry list of complaints (especially with DA2) but all this seems premature. Wait a bit for actual info on the game, then feel free to join the circus, thats it.
Nice, now people are going to take up their spots online and start the "ETERNAL SHAME ON BIOWARE vs. BIOWARE FOREVER" bickering that will fill the boards up for months... seriously guys we know NADA about the game and people are already calling it a plague onto our houses? Take....a....breath!
A shame, I really enjoyed the universe behind this game. Sure it was strange but it was at least a little different then the usual elves, orcs, and magic that your find in RPGs today. I would not mind a single player RPG based in this universe to be honest.
