I finally got away from Guitar Hero and started playing Jak X. It's pretty good, really. I was kind of sceptical at first, but I've completed the first set of events and it seems to flow pretty nicely. I'm not sure how the multiplayer is, but honestly...I'm not all that interested. I beta-tested the online portion a while back and was kind of let down. That's probably where my scepticism came from. I like the unlockable goodies. Aparently, if you have a Jak and Daxter, Jak 2, and Jak 3 save file on any of the two memory cards in the PS2, you'll unlock new drivers. A Ratchet driver if you have a Ratchet Deadlocked save file. I dig that...incentive to get the other games or shameless marketing ploy? You decide. There's also some stuff to unlock if you have Daxter for the PSP (don't know what, but I will when it comes out).
Well...That's all I have to report now

Frustration...
by Binard on Comments
So I'm trying to find an Xbox360 and getting a little frustrated. I hate the fact that I'm easily caught up in hype. I've been bothering the local Best Buy guys for a couple of days now. They said that they were getting 2 core and 2 premium systems in this week. You heard me right...2 of each. I used to work at the GameStop accross the street and they haven't even filled all of their pre-orders yet. That's freakin' bullsh*t.
The console has been on the market for three months now...that's an entire quarter! You'd think that the supply would be out there, but no. I'll tell you though, I don't buy into all of the "chip shortage" stories that are surfacing. I just think Microsoft bit off more than it could chew and totally screwed the pooch. And the fact that they created two versions is just plain silly.
So I'll continue to be the guy that bugs the Best Buy employees until I get one. And on that day I will be hated by my wife. But I'm sure she'll get over it.

Haven't posted in a while.

I haven't been posting here in a long while. Mainly because the firewall where I work does not let me sign into GameSpot. So...when the cookie expires, I have to take my system home and sign in from there. I'm just lazy that's all.
I managed to set up a MySpace profile. So if anyone of you readers have a MySpace profile, go ahead and add me.
I'll try to post more here, There just isn't anything that I feel is good to talk about here except the fact that I got MegaMan Maverick Hunter X and it rocks!

Bummed about Halloween turnout
by Binard on Comments
So Halloween has come and gone and I'm kind of bummed. I was looking forward to a large kid turnout. Being that we live next to an elementry school, this wasn't a foolish assessment. We bought tons of candy. The coveted Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Nerds. Who wouldn't want those, right? I found out that my neighbor across the street was setting up a huge party thing. They were giving out hot dogs, hot cider, hot chocolate, soda, and nachos. Plus, they had little games for the kiddies to play in the yard. WTF!!! How the hell am I supposed to compete with that?!?! We prepared for about 200 kids, but eneded up only getting about 50. We have soooooo much candy left over. I can't even look at it. It makes me ill. And I'm trying to lose weight!
Halloween!
by Binard on Comments
It's Halloween today and I thought I'd put in a post.
Not much going on. Yesterday I went to Cedar Point with my wife and a friend. October is a great time to go there. There's hardly any wait for the rides. The only thing you have to deal with is the fact that it is a little nippy and some of the rides aren't open. Most of the other stuff is open, but who cares about the little midway things. Rode a lot of the coasters and other rides. Fun stuff.
So, it's Halloween today and I've got some pumpkin carving to do. I need to come up with some ghoulish designs to scare off the little kiddies! Muah ha ha ha ha! I hope we bought enough candy. I have this funny feeling that we're gonna run out. Maybe I should stop eating it then.
Ah well. Talk at you later.

Longing...

For Soul Calibur III. I don't have the money to spend on it and I want to get it. I'm getting a little depressed about it. Oh well. I'm sure it'll just come down in price or I can pick it up used some day. I can always play those instead. We had this little costume party at work today. I thought it was kind of cool, but then I noticed that the people that I work with are uber-geeks. I mean uber uber. I don't know, but I think dressing up like a Jedi and Darh Vader was supposed to be for the kids unless it was done right. They're nice people and all, but I think it needs to be let go. I can see it being accepted and applauded at a convention or something, but not in a workplace. A little more...how can I say this...reality is in order. The same goes with cosplayers. Keep your cosplay in the little cosplay pen and things will be fine. Ah...It must be fall. I'm getting more and more bitter. The days are getting shorter. The temerature is droping. The games keep coming. Yup...it's fall again. We'll see what kind of trouble I can get into this weekend.
Thanks Friends...

I logged on today and found that someone replied to my post! Believe it or not, it kind of made my day. I haven't posted in a while and when I did post, someone actually read it and responded. I think I now understand all this blogging stuff. It's not the blogging that gives you pleasure. It's the fact that someone (one, few, hundreds) has taken the time to read your little rant. It kind of makes you feel a little appreciated.
Thanks guys!
Now onto the other stuff...I'm enjoying Dungeon Seige II. I started playing that last night and it is a heluvalot better than the first one. It's more of the same stuff, but it's just better. I don't normally post reviews so don't go looking for one. I'd recomend it to anyone that has $50 that they don't know what to do with. If you do have a plan for $50...I'd say pass it up until it comes to $20. I managed to snag it for about $8 (don't ask...you won't like the answer).
My wife said something interesting about of month or two ago. I believe it went as follows, "I think I'd like to start playing World of Warcraft again."... ... ... ... ... What what WHAT!?!?!
Here's my wife, a person that only has a fond memory of Tetris, wanting to start playing a very large MMORPG and willing to shell out the $15 a month for it.
That was a couple of months ago. I should have thought it was too good to be true. She nor I are playing it. Oh well. Maybe in a month or two.
Well again another day has passed and I spent most of it looking at my co-workers. Kind of sad really...I need to get new friends. :P Anyone here live in Columbus, OH? I'll school your ass in Soul Calibur II...consider that a challenge!

Let's Have a War!

So you can go and die!
Alrighty...I'm going to make a decent attempt at a blog post here. The topic of this post doesn't mean anything. Was just listening to A Perfect Circle while writing this. Anyway...Here goes
So I recently found out how to downgrade my PSP to firmware 1.5 and now I'm having tons of fun with the emulators (hope I can say that :? ) and homebrew apps. I like the PSP Kick application. It's just a little beatmaker. I can annoy people for hour with that thing. Nostalgia is nice too with all of the old SNES, Genesis and TGFX16 games. I can't stop playing Devil's Crush. It's perfect for work. Sitting in between calls (call-center) playing games. It's nice. If you have a PSP and are getting depressed with the fact that there aren't very many good games for it (no, I'm not getting GTA: LCS), downgrading your PSP and taking advantage of the homebrew apps and emulators is for you. You can find all that you need here at PSP-Vault. They have everything that you need.
Ok...Onto another topic that kind of makes me upset. I've got a backlog of games that I just don't feel like playing. Am I losing interest? Recently, I've bought Digital Devil Saga 2, Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, Dungeon Seige II, Painkiller Black (Painkiller Gold in DVD format), Half-Life 2, Far Cry, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and I'm getting Soul Calibur III this week! I feel like I'm wasting my money, but I can't bring myself to stop buying games. Along with that, I can't bring myself to play the games I've bought. The only game that I really want to play right now is Dungeon Siege II. I know, I know...Out of all the games I've bought, I want to play the one that sounds the least intruiging. What can I say? I'm stupid. I can't wait until Dragon Quest VII comes out with the demo of Final Fantasy XII. And I'm very much excited about Every Extend Extra (downloaded the PC version and it rocks). Not to mention all of the titiles that I've missed and still need to get. But why am I buying more than I'm playing? I'll have to do some checking into this. The answer will come to me. Wonder if anyone else out there is in the same situation as I am. Eh...never know.
I've been getting into some TV shows recently (thank the tech gods for DVR). My favorites are Lost, My Name is Earl, and Over There. Of course I have to catch the new episodes of South Park and I'm trying to get into The Family Guy, but it's hard for me to start watching it. It's weird because everytime I see that show I laugh my ass off. You'd think that I'd be a regular in watching it, but no. Lost is kind of pissing me off...in a good way. It's keeping me interested, but I'd wish the writers would thow me a freakin' bone. The whole hour goes by and nothing...I MEAN NOTHING is explained!
Eh...my brain is turning to mush. Think I'll go see Doom as my mind is in the correct state to absorb that crap.
I'll talk at you guys later...not that many of you listen.

I haven't been able to write in the journal often. And honestly, the only one who reads this thing is Jekyl (thanks BTW)
I only post when I have something to talk about. And I have something today.
My wife and I lost our baby. 15 weeks into the pregnancy, baby Carmany was born July 25 approx 11:30PM EST.
It is very hard to write this as I have tears in my eyes. I hope I can recover.
