@LE5LO I looked up the same Wikipedia article and even if i'm not a skateboarding at all, I read enough to know you're wrong. Vert skating is going from the horizontal plane to a vertical plane i.e. quarter/half pipe, bowls, etc. It's not just any sloped surface.

PS: I haven't played the game so I don't know if any review is right or wrong. I just wanted to correct you're statement.

@fernandofan08 No you don't dude. They just evaluate the end product and are there for consumers to see if that product is worth spending money on compared to others on the market. I'm starting to think you have a different understanding of a reviewer's job than most people.

@fernandofan08 It's not a complain, it's a critique. You don't need to know better to critique the subject. I've never (or very rarely) seen any review mention how to improve a game/movie/whatever because that person is not qualified on how to make the product.

It wouldn't make sense for a reviewer to say "They should add 5000 more new animations" because they would be talking out of their asses. Instead they say "Animations were lacking". In this case, "innovation" from previous titles. That speaks for itself when you know how much AC innovated after AA.

@komuchen That's just PR talk to defend themselves against the criticism they kept getting about that subject :P

@fernandofan08 @RCBreaker Giving a suggestion isn't a fact. You can criticize without having any idea what would be better or having the talent to make something better. That's what the game designers are there for anyways not the reviewers...

@AggrandizedUser Not just that, but with another studio means they had as much or even less time to make a game that is expected to be better than the previous ones with a team that hasn't taken part of the development of the previous games.

That means a lot of recycling to save time and little time to get accustomed to a new engine and add new features.

@emgesp @Ar13ls @quakke That was not the point, but whatever. To me, the visuals are around average. Which is not normal for the best selling franchise of this generation. The animation is not that bad, but compared to other good AAA titles, they are sub-par.

@quakke As if they wouldn't update the engine at all... It's changed a lot over the years. Not that much between games it feels like, but it's not comparable to IdTech3 at the time.

I think Gamespot is now trying to get more traffic and comments by giving scores lower than average. It's possible to happens sometimes, but it's like this with every review lately.

Same thing for the misogynistic thing. It brought a lot of attention to the reviewers who made the same comment on Dragon's Crown.
