@juboner @Sekhemket Well I can't speak for Sekhemket but that's pretty much what I was saying. You're a guy right? Do you live a male lifestyle? If Carolyn was something else once, what does it matter? It's who she is now that matters.
@Smokescreened84 I think maybe you missed my point. It's the publisher that usually wants this feature, and the publisher that throws money at it. They wouldn't put it into the single player experience either way.
@xiaoyangguang @wildamnesia That would be an incredibly rude and insensitive thing to do. Is it really such a big deal to address someone the way they prefer?
@carolynmichelle @Aelina @bottaboomstick I think I'm remembering the Ghostbusters II DOS game by Activision circa 1989 - geez most folks on here probably weren't even born then.
@Smokescreened84 @Aelina @thorn3000 @Vodoo These days they often farm the multi-player out to a completely different team. So it doesn't generally detract from the single-player much. You could argue that the publisher could have put that money into the single-player campaign, but honestly, if they weren't paying for the multi-player they would probably not spend that money at all.
@juboner @Sekhemket Um... I can't imagine any 'real' man, as you put it, wanting or choosing to be a woman. People are who they are, and sometimes it's more complicated than others.
