Prices are high assuming you have to buy them brand new. I just gave up PC and bought a 360 last thursday. I bought RS Vegas 2 for $60 but I got Army of Two for $55 and Perfect Dark Zero for .... $7.99... If you wait a few months after the game comes out youll end up spending only 30-40 bucks on it which is VERY good for a game imo.

Then again some games, like GTA IV, are probably worth the full $60 your going to spend.

I also have GT, though it works perfectly fine... :) Anyway. Some benchmarks Ive seen the GT actually over take the GTX. Especially so when overclocked so getting a GTX or Ultra isnt work it. If your going to shell out for one of those you might as well get a 9800GTX. As for the GT vs GTS G92, thats a very good question. Im confused by this. My GT also has the G92 core and 512mb of ram so whats the difference? Im pretty sure they each have 112 Shader Processors also. I could be wrong about the. If I were you Id stick with the GT.

As for what brand my last card (GTS 320) was an Evga and I was highly satisfied. My new GT is an XFX Alpha Dog Edition and I am truly satisfied with the overclockability, performance, and most importantly the price. As always check Newegg.com!

Good Luck!

I'm thinking that my GT is overheating, even when I turn the fax >80%. I get the purple screen and it sits there. Might as well dish out the $40 and get the heatsink for it.

Overall I've heard mixed arguments about the 8800GT. I was very pleased with mine before it started glitching. I know it all comes down to numbers (check NVIDIA's site for comaprisons) and ther person's/site's bias, but there's gotta be a way to tell these apart.

hm, that does sound like overheating. Get a Zalman and if it doesnt help it then you could just put it on a new card! I cant recall off the top of my head the prices but Im pretty sure the GTS costs more. hmm.

8800gts 512 is better than the 8800gt. so get that. also has better cooler to overclock. also...

8800gtx approx= 8800gts 512

and 8800 ultra = waste of money

darkmagician06

Im not saying your wrong or that I disagree but Id like to know how its better when the specs are identical. At least I think they are...

I've been gaming with Vista and DX10 for quite a few months now and I haven't had any problems at all. Id say its worth a try especially now that SP1 is out. Try a dual-boot set up like recommended before. And if you decide to go with Vista make sure you get the 32 bit version! I'm running 32 bit. A friend of mine just built a new computer and got 64 bit Home Premium and then he realized there weren't any drivers for his wireless network adapter...He was strewed out of $100 and had to get a copy of XP...

It all depends on how you look at it. I'm gay and I don't have any trouble with friends or colleagues or even strangers. If I hear someone say gay or drop the f-bomb it doesn't bug me because the way I see it if I said "Oh god that's so straight!" A straight person wouldn't stop and say "Hey man WTF!!!" So why would I? Some people how ever are more sensitive then others.

I have met some ignorant people though and if and when I rarely encounter these people I just stay calm and try to talk some reason into them instead of acting ignorant back. I don't want to stoop down to their level.

hmm, Thats interesting. I have an 8800 GTS and I have no problems running the game maxed. Though when I first install the game or run an Auto-Detect to determine graphics settings it tells me my video card is unrecognized and defaults everything to Medium settings. I just turn everything up after that of course but that sounds like whatKiwi_1said.

I thought the first one was the scariest game Ive ever played. And Ive played through all the Resident Evils and Silent Hills...Condemned is just terrifying. Ill wait til Condemned 2 comes to PC to find out for myself!
