the only people who do that are usually just kidding around/tongue in cheek etc. The hip hop guys are the basketball players, and they're usually quiet (ironic).

I'm having a difficult time tracking down a 5870 over here in the Philippines, so I was considering buying the card online. I need a reputable store that ships to my country at a decent price. On a side note, the nearest thing I can find is a gtx285 (they dont even have 4870 x2's and gtx295's anymore for some reason). How much slower can I expect that to be? current build so far: i7 920 intel dx58so (...x58 mobos are few and far between) 6gb ddr3 1333mhz ram 1 TB HD AcBel 750w PSU (even non-cheapass PSU's are hard to find). How's this brand? Is it craptastic?

[QUOTE="UltimateGamer95"][QUOTE="-kaz3-"][QUOTE="UltimateGamer95"] No you need a full tower case for the 5870. Tell me which full tower cases they have.

I checked online. the 5870 is 10.75" long, similar to gtx280's and whatnot. It may have been a tight fit, but didnt gtx280's fit in antec 900 cases? btw I have no idea if they even have full tower cases. I need to check

Most computer stores have full tower cases.

I stand corrected. 11.1" for the 5870 length. http://www.villman.com/Category/Casings

[QUOTE="UltimateGamer95"][QUOTE="-kaz3-"][QUOTE="UltimateGamer95"] I'm assuming you meant the Antec 1200 case since the Antec 200 case won't even come close to fitting a 5870.

...200. it wouldn't fit? I didnt have much time to look into details like that. they do have a 900 2 case available too. would that be sufficient?

Nothing is future proof.d-rtyboy
I know that, but certain products would last longer than others, now wouldn't it? I meant if the setup would be capable of running most stuff well nowadays, and in the foreseeable future.

[QUOTE="UltimateGamer95"][QUOTE="-kaz3-"]Just came back from the PC store, and came up with a more-or-less rushed setup for a new custom PC. i7 920 (2.66ghz) proc radeon hd5870 vid card intel dx58SO mobo 6gb ddr3 ram (1333 mhz i think) 1tb HD 700w PSU (made by AcBel, the only PSU they offered at above 600w) antec 200 case some 23-24" monitor (havent decided on that one yet). comes out to around 1900$. The peripherals, OS, etc. will take care of itself later. The parts have been ordered, but I can change any part since I haven't actually purchased anything. Is it fair to say that this is hella futureproof'd?
