As a young price in middle eastern setting, you nimbly cross chasms, avoid traps, wall run & fight enemies with scimitar & blade. In case you die, you use the sands of time to reverse to a point of safety & continue, making you nearly immortal.
The setting indoor & outdoor is all bathed in warm light & gives a distinct feel. The enemies fel alive, but do not put up much of a fight. The acrobatic moves seems death defying & traversal from one environment to the other feels satisfying.
Prince of Persia is still a pleasure to play through for the 10 or so hours it takes to get to the finish line, largely because of the game's extraordinary look. The character models for the prince and Farah actually don't look great, but the rest of the game most certainly does.
