What Gamespot Users have to say about Puzzle Quest: Galactrix

Super sluggish interface drags the score down. Puzzle Quest for DS wsa superior in virtually every way.
Where do I start with the disappointment with the DS version of Galactrix? I loved Puzzle Quest on DS. It had a clean interface and the touch screen perfectly fit the "gem style" gameplay. Galactrix for DS is a mes... Read Full Review

I prefer getting my teeth drilled...
It's not often that I review a game. In fact, I almost never do because most of the stuff I could say in a review is said by a dozen other people. This one, however, deserves it's own attention. This is easily the... Read Full Review

Contrary to many reviews, this is a solid, deep and engaging game!
I am sure you've read the GS review and have been turned off a bit by what was said. The sad thing is it seems as if the reviewer didn't "get" the game mechanic or what the developer obviously was trying to accomplish. ... Read Full Review

While the campaign is linear and somewhat predictable, the action is organic and the AI is, well - seriously diabolical!
The Puzzle Quest franchise has developed and defined a game category all its own and Galactrix takes it up a notch. I believe Gamespot blew it in their review of Galactrix. This, of course, is subjective. However, as a h... Read Full Review

The new puzzle quest is different and fun, but it sadly isn't as good as the first one.
I had alot of excitment for this game, but it sadly falls short. The characters in this one don't have enough characteristics to make you care about them like in the first one. Also the new battle system is just the puzz... Read Full Review

It's not Puzzle Quest 2, That's why it's called GALACTRIX
I reckon people are better off if they aren't familiar with Puzzle Quest as obviously (for some reason) people are feeling ripped off they aren't getting Puzzle Quest 2. If you can get past that then this is an enjoyabl... Read Full Review

Slow to roll but does get you going once you've gotten the hang of it.
Its confusing at the start so it needs time to get used to. Overall it is still the Puzzle Quest fun many of us are familiar with but the "innovations" they threw in will certainly have mixed reactions from fans of the f... Read Full Review

There's a learning curve, but it still fun to play.
I think most of the disappointed people who play it are expecting to jump right in because of all the time spent playing the first PQ. This one takes some getting used to. The new dynamic with the hexes, the way in w... Read Full Review

Puzzle Quest - II. Shouldn't it have more flash than the first one, not less?
The Good: Six-sided jewels makes for more interesting strategic options for Bejeweled buffs. Tons of missions to play in the story mode. Four factions makes the fighting and territorial disputes more interesting. Sti... Read Full Review

Flubbed unfortunately
Like many others here I loved Puzzle Quest. That game had one notable flaw in that later in the game you had spells that could radically change the board in _one_ move. It made the strategic aspect of the game sort of... Read Full Review
