What Gamespot Users have to say about Endless Space

Has a lot going for it, but difficult to navigate and sometimes outright strange - and not in a good way.
My first impressions of this game were great. It looked like the 4x strategy I've been waiting for ever since SOTS 2 failed to leave the start line. Sadly as I played more and more problems seemed to crop up that made g... Read Full Review

Decent Game but Ultimately Limited and Disappointing for Experienced 4x Fans
How to rate this game, it's a real mixed bag. The Exploration and colonization is handled in an intriguing way, the diplomacy is decent, and the research trees are interesting and allow a great degree of flexibility, the... Read Full Review

Endless Space: it could become a classic!
I think Endless Space is a great 4X strategy game! Highly addictive: It's been a while since I have been sucked into such a game, playing one more turn at 3am... You can't really compare this game with SoaSE, it's more ... Read Full Review

Endless Space has the basics down, but more depth is needed...
Endless Space is a great game. It has gotten the basics of management and diplomacy down, the graphics are pleasing, and the soundtrack gets you in the mood for some galactic exploration... but I just wish there was more... Read Full Review

Lots of options with no point
So, there is a lot to do in Endless Space. The title is fitting in that way and in one other. There is no game here just a void where something fun should go. The space ships aren't that detailed and the battles look... Read Full Review

A game that takes civilization into space... but drops a few things behind.
So, this is a turn based strategy game that takes place into outer space. More precisely, a galaxy. Preliminary notions: planets -> they come in different sizes and of different types. You can imagine them as neighborh... Read Full Review

Essentially strong strategic, but poor tactical gameplay. Shares too many features/issues of older games in the genre.
4X is my fave type of game but in my opinion the complexity has been diminishing since Galactic Civilizations, which this game certainly emulates. The ship combat is only slightly better than GC. It's not entirely "watch... Read Full Review

Rudimentary and simplistic gameplay. Suited for beginners of the 4X TBS genre. Disappointing.
Rudimentary and very simplistic gameplay. Everything here has been done before, and actually this is taking step back to simplicity equivalent to sid's civilization. This is all well and good for casual short gaming, but... Read Full Review

Beautiful graphics and interface make this game very easy on the eyes, but the gameplay comes up short.
I've had trouble getting into 4x games before due to numerous reasons, but this game did a much better job at pulling me in. It was probably down to the graphics. The UI and art is done perfectly in Endless Space. How... Read Full Review

Eye candy, turn base, exploring again, more pirates again, bad neighbors again, still its a game
not much to add to the fallowing, the game starts like most gives you small amounts, makes the player think he is dum for even getting to the planet that he or she has, makes you continue to look for more and more, conqu... Read Full Review
