Silent Hill 2 Remake - 9 GS, 87 MC! Update: 1 million units sold!

Watching it now, not subbed to his channel, but agree with the title and am confident that I can already post it because of the deserved bashing he gave God of War 2018.

People doubted Bloober team but they won lmao. Must felt awesome.

Well this is a surprise...to me at least. I've only ever played P.T. so I probably owe it to myself to give this one a shot.

Are they remakes?

I never doubted this remake. Even if Bloober's own games aren't that good, remaking a classic is a whole different ball park. They're not having to make a whole new game from scratch, but already have a great classic as the foundation.

Watched few reviews and they all informed the remake doubled the length time compared to the original and with new endings. Quite a hard task tbh to maintain quality but props to bloober team.

I was one of them. As much as I loved Observer, I didn't think they had the ability to remake such a classic as Silent Hill 2, and the initial trailers were an indication that was the case. I'm always happy to be proven wrong.

Of course they are. The originals were in the 360/ps3 era.

Well colour me pleasantly surprised. That said, I guess they had a lot of reference material to draw from, thus reducing the chance of them messing up.

Silent Hill 2? Heard a lot about the game, never played it, and only half interested. Survival horror's not really my thing, though I have played and enjoyed a few. Now if they were to remake Silent Hill 3, that would get my attention. I played that game on a PS2 but never finished it. Call it an unfinished business.

Played the GS 7.7 /89 meta version last night for a few hours, enjoyed it..Nd saved money not having to buy it again..like a sap 🤣😂

I actually had doubts having never any Blooper Team games before. Silent Hill 2 definitely is a game that I only played once and never got the other endings. Will definitely get SH2 Remake as it's been years since I played the original.

The game is great, but man, watching the DF video and I don't envy you PS5 guys. Those reflections are rough!

I'm at Brookhaven Hospital (playing on Hard). It's on par with Resident Evil 2 Remake imo. It's incredible. Just wish the cutscenes and atmosphere were as good as the original

Guaranteed fact if Silent Hill 2 Remake launched exclusive on Xbox it would get the Xbox Tax and get an 8

played for 2 hrs almost. its very atomspheric and amazing game. its no RE4 remake sure. combat is not very good for sure.

What do you think of the map system and the game not pausing when you pull it out?

Does it remind you of Far Cry 2?

Its very immersive. beside game does not hold your hand and never show or guide where to go. unlike most modern games.

Bloober team has nailed it. beside I'm surprise it work fine on my ancient PC.

Yes I also felt that change from modern games, instead of always having arrows or objective markers, the game is made more immersive because the main character writes on the map where to go, but it's still up to the player to find his way.

Does it run at 30fps or faster? I do hope Stalker 2 is a bit better optimized.

Played a couple hours so far, and I love it. I feel like they did a great job of keeping the essence of the original game in tact.

no, just regular mode. I do find myself fighting the monsters more, in the original I just ran away lol

Just made it to the Otherworld. Have been loving every minute of this game!

Whoever designed the Abstract Daddy and Eddie boss fights deserve a raise. Holy **** they're amazing in the Remake. Also the Toluca Prison was so good. The new enemy type they introduced is genius. Also I just wanna applaud Bloober Team for how perfectly they tuned the difficulty on Hard. I'm always on the brink of a softlock, but have just enough resources to survive. It's literally perfect.

How scary is this game compared to Dead Space Remake?

Dead Space is more stressful than scary imo lol. A bunch of enemies running at you and you have to gun them down. Silent Hill 2 is a slow burner with tense moments. Silent Hill 2 is more about the sensory experiences.

Sensory experience.. interesting. I've not experienced a game like that. I hope the storyline is easy to follow and not complicated

I'm currently playing through and enjoying HD version of the higher scoring metacritic original SH2,theres an option for new voices and "born from a wish" story dlc along with SH3 in the collection addition on Xbox and PS.
