Some minor updates never gonna make up for old game engine and bugs

User Rating: 3 | FIFA 10 PC
If you been following the FIFA 10 hands-on or updates or anything, you'll be disappointed that those mouth watering new features is only next-gen exclusive.

What we need from a PC game is superior graphics, and EA has been keeping the same old engine from the past generations of FIFA games for years on this platform. When asked about why no new graphics update on PC, EA just respond by saying hardcore PC has less than 10% of the PCs used today. What about all those high end games like Crysis, Mercenaries, Godfathers all offer? They all looked great on PC, why not do it with FIFA? Fans of FIFA without PS3 or Xbox 360 have been looking for a good soccer game for PCs and they have to settle for PES on their system.

Like any other FIFA games featured on the PC for the past few years, the game has been suffered by a ton of bugs in the game. For instance, a player can make a tackle by going through a players legs and the player been tackled can't fall down from it. And the refereeing in the game is horribly done, when you make a silly and harsh slide tackles from behind, you only escape with yellow card. Even when you make a bad tackles and players just stop on their tracks, the tackler got a straight red, that doesn't make sense... Sometimes you will also realize the ball can go through a players body when they miss their slide tackle, things just keep going wrong for FIFA on this platform while its other counterpart got rave review all over the internet.

They did add some features into the game, but it is not worth mention it at all. 360 degrees of freedom is not enjoyable at all, because many casual gamers on PCs who don't own a controller for the PCs can't do great tricks and more fluid movement. Be a Pro has also improved but I can't find any fun with it.

While FIFA 10 looks great, sounds great, play great on other systems, you can close this review now and never buy the PC version. This version is just a good example of how the developers has dumped their efforts on PC gaming and keep blaming the piracy rather than look at their work.
