Best in the Series, but still not up there with the best games

I have always thought of the Fable Series as a subpar RPG, i never understood how it has become so famous being the average game that it is. the first game was pretty good, i liked the second one a bit more and i think the 3rd one was an improvement over the second one, so it is nice to know that at least they are improving the series with each game released.


Gameplay 7.0: I will tell you that for an RPG the gameplay is very simple, but not in such a good way. combat is basically button smashing, you can improve your powers and your melee abilities but compared to other RPG's it is very streamlined and a bit too simple, the same thing can be said about most of the other gameplay, like the past Fables: this is a mostly a stripped down version of RPG gameplay.


Graphics: 7.0: Fable 3 like the past games in the series are behind in terms of graphics for its time, the scenery is nice and it is very colorful but the character models are far behind other games such as Mass Effect, i can say that it is pretty much identical to Fable 2.


Sound: 7.0: Sound is okay in battles, the actual soundtrack is just average.



Lasting Appeal: 7.5: One thing i will say is that this is a very short RPG, i finished it in just under 13 hours and i did a fair share of side quests, it does have replay value do to the important decisions you can make in the second half of the game. still, you can pretty much do everything the game has to offer in 2 playthrough's.
