An exciting epic!

This game is perhaps the very game that started the game genera, that we refer to as role playing games a we know it. I can see why such a game was so, and still is, addictive. The way that they made the combat system was pure genious, to say the least. The time it took to grind the levels that you needed to beat the bosses, get new powers, and gain better attributes, made this game very addictive. You can't just play for a few minutes and not want to finish this game. While, the ending seemed so much more memorable due to the fact that it took so long for you to beat this game. This game is highly under rated. Nintendo gave this game away for free for a time for those who subscribed to it. This, is perhaps the reason that companies like square are still able to turn out RPGs as good as the Final Fantasy series. I think that it is a shame that game creators have went away from making story lines that are all encompassing, and care only about the graphics. Pick this game up if you own an NES. Just remember that Dragon Warrior may be "short" on graphics, but it is big on story and heart.
