Xbox 720 to require Internet connection?

Holly cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gamespot missed A HUGE piece of information from that Edge article:

"Though the architectures of the next-gen Xbox and PlayStation both resemble that of PCs, several development sources have told us that Sony’s solution is preferable when it comes to leveraging power. Studios working with the next-gen Xbox are currently being forced to work with only approved development libraries, while Sony is encouraging coders to get closer to the metal of its box. Furthermore, the operating system overhead of Microsoft’s next console is more oppressive than Sony’s equivalent, giving the PlayStation-badged unit another advantage."

^^^ PS4 is not only more powerful but also easier to code for. Holly cow, that would be a win-win for Sony and a complete reversal of PS2-3.

So, the red ring of dead wasn't bad enough for Microsoft, they want to take outages to a whole new level of annoyance, lossing all the money they can and forcing xbox players to go out and get a Wii U... great plan

There's no way Microsoft would do these things. They would be alienating a very large group of people and that's not what they want. They're trying to pull in MORE gamers, not drive them to Sony.

So if my internet goes out my Xbox becomes a paperweight. No thank you.

Personally, I think these journalists make-up these rumors so they have something to write about. They all have the supposed unnamed insider that knows the final specs. Well if these writers actually had real insiders then every article should list the same specs, because the consoles specs aint changing from article to article. Every article I read lists different shit. Nobody knows anything and they're all just makin shit up.

Because always on internet requirements have been widely popular in recent games like Diablo 3...

I think it's a great idea. People will have to pay the original price if they want to play the game instead of pirating the copy for $5.

Lets all buy Steam Box and not support this terrible idea from Microsoft and Sony they are just money hungry pig.

So disappointed u cant sell your old games u finish or dont like any more and u cant sell ur console now if u want to but a new color or bigger hard drive space.. to me this is the worst console idea yet! they will have ruined console gaming if this happens!
