There seems to be a nice variety of game coming for the Vita.When it launches I'll look into it. For those PS3 owners out there it must be getting frustrating to keep hearing about The Last Guardian getting pushed back or simply not showing at big gaming events.I really hope for them that this unique game doesn't go the way of Megaman Legands 3,which I'm still steamed about.

Definitely not seeing a repeat of the PS3 launch, which is an absolute good thing. I really do appreciate how this device is not getting overhyped and that Sony has decided to peel the layers of its awesomeness slowly. Every time new news comes out for it, I just want it a little bit more. If Sony announces one more amazing thing, I might jump ship and buy one.

I don't see so many more launch titles for the PS Vita than the 3DS had. But the new Uncharted game is really something worth to buy the new console! I think that may be the key difference. Also the one save file of RE Mercenaries on the 3DS put off some customers, well at least me.

What's going on with The Last Guardian? Is somebody at Sony not happy about it, or does Team Ico think it isn't ready for the spotlight yet?

The number and quality of launch titles are what matter.

any release AT ALL in Europe for Ni no Kuni (Level-5) and ill be so happy, Studio Ghibli involved, u cant pass that up!

I'm still impressed; this is all happening so fast for a console that was just announced to the public months ago! I want a Ratchet & Clank game, a Jak & Daxter game, and a Sly Cooper game for the PS Vita. And they must be legitimate. Yeah, that's probably too much to ask!

ugh....seeing FF13-2 and FF Type 0 on this but not Vs13 just urks me....im used to it but man i wish Square Enix would release that game....hopefully it doesnt turn into a DNF..... in my other thoughts its really cool to see that theyre putting these many games in production for the Vita....im glad i have it preordered

great list but i'll pass on pspvita. I like my psp3000 umd+many japanese games I play on it. as well as play on my TV.

You can bet that Sony will learn a few HARD lessons from the 3DS launch. If Sony has an brains, they will release and keep releasing AAA games for the Vita every 2-3 weeks. @moviequest14 My friend, the reason why they lowered the price was that simply NO ONE was buying the system due to lack of software. Not everyone from Japan are Nintendo loyalists. If any Japan, is home to the "Whats out NOW!" I've mentioned this to you multiple times in another thread but $250 is a decent price for 3DS so long as they SUPPORT it. One of Nintendo's biggest problem was the DROUGHT they had MONTHS AFTER their release. This was all due to attach the 3DS sales to their Fiscal Report by March of 2011. Shareholders LOVE to see their profits, but what happened on the next report was nothing short of a MASSACRE. There was absolutely no movement of 3DS hardware because there were not enough AAA games. Hence the price cut for both 3DS and Sawata's paycheck.... Vita isn't out yet, but they will learn from the mistakes Nintendo. If they don't well.... they handed the crown that much earlier =P

Of the 18 unannounced PS Vita titles, it's highly probable that at least 15 of them are the following previously announced SCEA/SCEE titles (SCEJ is not announcing them at this moment since the games are technically not under them): WipeOut 2048 Broken (working title) Escape Plan Hustle Kings Killzone Little Deviants Little Big Planet Ruin Tag Sound Shapes Modnation Racers Reality Fighters Resistance Smart As Star Strike That leaves about 3 titles left unannounced. If Persona 4 The Golden makes its playable debut there, we're still left with 2 question marks.

@moviequest14 You don't have to answer to each and every one who goes against Nintendo...if you agree with the person then great, maybe give'em a thumbs up. If not, then you could just give'em thumbs down and move on. You can't make everyone like what you like, or look at things the way you do.

(fyi only 2 titles,Mariokart and SuperMario3d Land) That attempt at wittiness only shows how out of wack your info about 3ds is.I suppose with the logic you stated that the only games for Vita are sony-made games with no 3rd party titlessince out of the 18 titles mentioned 3 are Sony First party games....

I just hope Sony can or at least give the U.S.A a release date even if it is next year to have a date release so I can finish paying off my Pre-order 3G Vita. @moviequest14. The PS Vita does not need a price cut and this is why. At E3 this year, everyone was shock at Sony for announcing the price at Wi-fi for $249.99 and the Wi-Fi+3G for $299.99, everybody at E3 was blown away even I was shock I was expecting to pay like $ 399.99 for the Vita and I'm not trying to be rud or anything like that but the PS Vita is well place and Sony made sure that the Vita is affordable as possible, and it is the first to have 3G [ should you chose to buy it ] and have duel analog for good FPS games.

Its a better launch line up than what my 3DS has got... come to think of it.. at this rate 18 Vita games could be more than the 3DS`s future line up! Nintendo need to pull their finger out and start giving us gamers some more action!

@ Aragorn931 : There were quite a few titles stapled for launch-release or close to...but many were either moved to a later date (ie Ocarina 3d and Kid Icarus,both of which would've been big-selling titles)or cancelled, and just because titles are shown and associated with a game at launch doesn't mean they will all be out at launch,I quote your words ''At the moment'' ...the vita has just now been confirmed for release in Japan and isn't being released until next year in the U.S you wait and see how many titles are actually at launch when the vita comes out to the u.s and then get back to me.There is no confirmation even in this article that any of these titles are launch titles (though some are bound to be) just that they will be ''in the vita zone''.There are only a couple more confirmed launch titles for vita (which again aren't carved in stone) and 16 3ds launch titles so add that up to whatever you want.And the reason Nintendo lowered 3ds pricing was because a lot of people felt the $250 pricetag was too much (one reason might I add that the ds beat the psp).

@ minh800 : I was mainly implying in jest to all this big supposed ''neck & neck'' of 3ds making a move then people thinking vita needs to also (ie the $80 3ds price-cut with a ton of people saying Sony needs to price-cut vita).Though it does have about 10% irony Sony is still free to do whatever they like.

@ Shadowx2468x : That is still At LEAST 17 fewer games than 3ds future games...which still makes it far from ''way ahead''.

90% of these sound Japanese specific. Seriously, the only universally anticipated launch title is still Uncharted. This thing is going to be just as disappointing as the 3DS was/is. Well, they did add Riiiiidge Racer! So that should sell a few million systems alone.
