yeah.. I like Mindless Shooting for years and years under Different skins Much better than running N Jumping from side scrolling to going thru different paintings and Jumping through different galaxies... Mindless shooting is so much Fun!!!

I'm impressed they turned a profit but in many ways it was a bit of luck(currency exchange).

The WiiU is such a strange product. Why release current gen tech in the last year of the current gen? This will be yet another Nintendo console that exists solely to play first party games as most third-parties have already abandoned it outside of cheap ports.

At least Nintendo has the 3DS to fall back on, which is doing reasonably well.

I think some of you don't understand analysts and the stock market. The question was not whether Nintendo would make a profit, but whether the profits would increase. While admittedly unrealistic, the stock market operates on the philosophy that a company should increase profits each and every quarter (yeah, it's ridiculous). Also, they're looking farther out and understanding that WiiU will be a major hindrance to future profitability.

@Queuing_is_back since this is about profit and the article is not only about the wii u, funny how you only mention about wii u sales but not 3ds and software sales.

would be very sad to see nintendo die, would also be very sad to see sony playstation die, would not be sad at all to see mocrosoft die

The analysts were "only" ¥27.8bn / $279m / £183m off in their estimation. How do they keep their jobs?

@CHROMEFLAMIN doubt it. Nintendo has been doing this since the 80's. and so far they've still hold there own after all these years. if the next xbox will always be online. they are the ones that's losing the most profit.
