first off a pirate is and i rather play the first game.

Is this supposed to be good news? 1 million units sold worldwide after 3 months sounds pretty bad to me. Sounds like it sold as much as Advent Rising. I watched my brother play the game and it didn't look all that great.

This game is one of the best action games ever!!! Fast, brutal, tons of blood. Just awesome!

i love my xbox...i've never felt this way about a console before....it satisfies my every gaming need. its sexy, unlike the oblong shape of the bulky ps3...i'm not being biased, i'm just being objective.

I say we all boyott the next Ninja Gaiden (this style) which might make them go back the the original NES Ninja Gaiden style. Much better games.

NG2 really isn't that hard..lol I wish people would stop complaining about that and the camera because neither are a problem.

@xdeiri You suck not the game =). This is easy compared to NG1, not on the harder difficulties but Normal in NG1 is harder than path of the warrior and its not even the easiest... And i dont think the difficulty is that punishing, even on mentor you always have alot of healing item which you dont really need (except on bosses) since you can be so damn cheap with the ultimate techniques. This game are for the hardcore if your not one of them then dont buy it. I haven't tried Master Ninja yet but i guess i will get owned so i will wait with that for later. Only thing bad with this game is that, yeah it feels a bit rushed, because of that its not as good as NG1 or GoW 1 and 2, but its definitively better than DMC4.

Technically, it's a good game. Comparitively to the first game, it's horrible. I was expecting a continuation, but it's a completely different game. Ninja Gaiden and NG2 are both great games, but they're also completely different. In response to Stealth's comment . . if you want a hack and slash, get NG2, if you want the most solid, skill-rewarding action game in existance, get Ninja Gaiden Black. No comparison between games.

@ PumpkinBoogie MGS games have all sold 4 million plus, MGS2 even reaching 7 million, the most NG has sold altogether with THREE iterations? 2 million TOTAL. MGS games arent hard to pick up, MGSIV was bundled but importantly had HUGE marketting While amongst people on boards and all NG2 got a lot of attention, it was still eclipsed by MGS4 discussion, especially with the whole exclusivity thing. In other words MGS4 was Goliath and NG2 was David 1 million sold is a golden standard and always has been, in this day and age even 700k for a hardcore title is regarded as a success. 1 million already and the game is still selling, im predicting roughly 1.3 million sold by the end of 09.

I've played a demo for PS3's Ninja Gaiden Sigma, but thats as far as my NG experience goes. But if it's doing well, then that's all good. If i ever did decide to buy a hack and slash, then it would definitely be a Ninja Gaiden game.

Here's hoping NG III is in the works.

This game sucks I broke the damn disc in chapter 8 , due to the punishing difficulty level , the first game is better in everything even the graphic

I'm not sure how well the Xbox version of Ninja Gaiden sold, but I don't recall it ever reaching the 1 million mark... or at least this quickly. Therefore, I find this to be quite pleasing. Considering all of the controversy surrounding Tecmo and Itagaki before and after the its release, it's nice to know that the game itself didn't suffer too much because of it. By no means is this a mind-blowing accomplishment or anything, but at least the game did get its time in the spotlight.

Well I partially see what you're saying FirstDiscovery to ctg867, yet even though he sounds a bit fanboyish about the way it came out, he did make a good point--only reaching 1 mil worldwide after 2 months of its release? If anything, I think NGII and MSG4 are pretty much in the same boat in terms of how they were marketed and in how both (in their respective genres) could easily be considered 'niche' titles for a select group of gamers (i.e. hardcore/devoted series fans). Frankly, from what I saw in the months before either game came definitely looked to me that NGII actually seemed to have had MORE of a 'hype' going on in a media-sense than MGS4--considering Kojima admitted that they (him and Konami) really had no intention of doing things like TV spots (NGII did however). Couple that with the fact that NGII was out at least a full week or so more before MGS4. With all the hype that Tecmo and MS did it makes you think that it should have made these sales a lot faster. Clearly, some people at MS or Tecmo marketing dept. didn't really push a hard international sell.... Then again, we can all assume their sales projections easily took a hit once the drama with Itagaki broke out among other related things; this naturally didn't help the game in a good light. Yet I suppose for MS after having to endure the Itagaki/Tecmo controversy play out during the games release good news is better than no news.

That's good. Even though I've never played a Techmo game (besides Ninja Gaiden DS, great game btw), it is good to know that things are starting to look up for them. I don't want another publisher to fall into an oblivion. :)

Ninja Gaiden is a solid action game, however it seems it was rushed because of its many unpolished features. Most noticably the camera engine. I wonder how the legal stuff was worked out. Is it possible to see a ninja gaiden 2 sigma on ps3 some day? Perhaps some of those problems can be ironed out...

not surprised, this game was by far one of my favorite games of all time! I beat the game on hard in about a week, playing about 2 hours a night.

Played it, but haven't had a chance to buy it yet.I think its a pretty solid title.

@Earlthecannibal Didn't sell as well as DMC4 which is just as "crappy" atleast according to reviewers and imo its better. And how good a game is dont have much to do with its sales, just look at every Madden and Fifa game (it got old 10 years ago). And some Wii titles like Wii fit sells really well...

Good game. To the Metal Gear fanboys who keep commenting on NG2's sales....the games are not in direct competition of each other. If you believe they are, you're missing the point of playing games in general.

Hope this encourages a NG3.

This game, in my opinion really didnt attract any major news. It was a come out (secretly) and then sit there.

Game was ok, i got about half-way and was bored. Don't see the appeal everyone else sees in it when there are better games out there.
