'Next evolution' of Pac-Man premiering at E3

Sony and Nintendo.......what do they have in common.........almost identical motion controls........! The new pac man game will take advantage of Move and Wii Remote! im calling it now.

Why am I suddenly thinking of the new idea turning into this: "Oooh! Instead of Pac-Man chasing after the pellets...we'll have the pellets CHASE AFTER Pac-Man instead! Genius!" or somehow...I'm thinking it's a boxing game.

Nothing justifies this "evolution". Leave Pac-Man alone, for god's sake.

let Pac-Man rest in peace! Are new ideas really so sparse that you need to recycle games from the '80s? It's like dredging Michael Jackson's corpse, embedding your iPod/speakers in it, and dangling him on marionette strings just because you want to hear him "sing" again.

An FPS pac man would be cool. (similar to the secret level on Wolf 3D)

Here's hoping it will be a classic like it's little brother and just as much or more fun. Namco is a great company and I think we should at least wait until it's released before making negative comments. Why? Because it's Namco.

As an over 30 gamer, I don't really feel I need to relive my past. Pac-Man is fun once in awhile, but it's fun because it's old school. When you take the character and put him in a next gen game you are just making another next gen game. Pac Man Championship Edition was successful because it was the old game recreated with some neat new tricks. If you make this game some mindblowing next gen experience (and I think that's what they are hinting at here) you just end of with God-Of-WarPacman.

I LOVED Pac Man World 2. awesome game. pac 3 sucked. hopefully we will get another great platformer.

All I hope for it is they keep it 2d and don't make some 3d world stuff like they did Sonic and ruin it....and also I hope they come up with some new complex levels...

I figured it out! The game will cost you $60 but will only work until PM2011 comes out next year! The power pellets will cost you 40 Microsoft points each and each new level will cost you 800 Microsoft points!

Pac-Man Championship Edition was really, really good. I'm hoping some sort of continuation of that at least on the arcade side... maybe another PSN/XBL release. No telling what they have in store for the new full fledged console game. Hope its cool.

Am I the only one who doesnt think that Pac Man wont extrapolate well to 3D? What made pac man great was the simple yet addictive 2D gameplay, and trying to bring it into the 3D realm will just result in Pac Man turning into just another platformer

I'd like to see a mixture of the classic games and the 3D ones. Bigger, more engaging mazes in 3rd person with platforming elements or something like that. Kinda like a Pac-Man dungeon crawler o.O

Think Pac-Man meets Ocarina of Time, but in HD.

Here's hoping for no "Edgy and Gritty" or "Hip, cool, and extreme" Pac-Men...

I hope it's something along the lines of Pac-Man Vs., I've never played a multi-player videogame so fun yet newbie-friendly as that.

I already know, Pacman with a space suit, a gun and some badass aura around him. sheesh, people need to get over their inferiority complexes and just enjoy things for what they are.

I thought Sony's briefing was on the 15th? Correct me if I'm wrong. New PacMan, It'll be interesting to see what justifies a new evolution.
