@obriam @gpm23 They should have waited to release it for next gen from the beginning. That's why i'm not really excited to play V; I want to see what they can do with more advanced hardware. GTA 6 next gen will be amazing.

@komuchen @Grenadeh This is true. The GTA4 port was shit tastic and the only reason I never bought it on PC. Well that and I can barely handle one copy of GTA, don't need 2.

@Grenadeh I don't know how much would port cost, but I think we can agree that it's not cheap, unless they want to do half-ass it like GTA4.

It depends on the cost, but the game to be profitable must make something like twice the budget (like they expected 17-25 mln in sales for the game). Maybe there is money, but I wouldn't be surprised if they saw "only" 500k signatures under that petition and were dissapointed.

@Grenadeh Where did I say there is no purpose? I've just said they don't have to do it, and that i won't make them that much money, because it won't. Unless people will go out and buy 2nd copy or something.

2 milions is not even half of that what they've sold on consoles, so you are only proving my point.

But if you don't get "loose money in the long run", than I will make it simpler for you

Nintendo own console profit possibilities:

- console

- accessories (gamepads, sensorbars, gimmicks like gun,wheel, etc.)

- royalties

- 4-6 mln copies of their 1st party = lots of money

- publishing

Nintendo going 3rd party profit:

- 14-18 mln copies instead of 4-6 - good luck with selling that amount of games, when 5 on both or even all platforms is considered great.

Nintendo can't sell their games because they can't sell their console. They can't sell their console because people are becoming less interested in buying a whole new console just for Nintendo games.

If Nintendo games were available on other consoles, more people would be likely to buy them. People are more likely to buy a game for a console they already own, rather than buying another console. It's as simply as that.

@frozenux No PC Gamer played Halo on PC because we owned it on Xbox, where it was meant to be played.

I don't know who these supposed PC gamers you talk to are but they are fake.

I've literally met one person ever in my entire life that played Halo on a computer, and it was the god awful Halo 1 port on OSX. Worse than the Vista "fiasco" with Halo 2.

Halo was system seller on console, because it was one of the first shooters, on the box anyway, that you could play with 3 other people without screwing around with building LAN like with PC etc. just pick up controller and play.

But anyway, thanks of reminding me of that Vista fiasco, I almost forgot about it.

I think he was saying halo2, but yes it was some marking bs to try to sell vista to people who wanted to play halo2 on pc.

People ended up making it work on XP.There were no technical reasons,like MS tried to make US believe, for it to be a Vista exclusive.It was just some marketing BS from MS as usual.
