E3 '07: Smash Bros. Brawl whacks Wii Dec. 3

sweet game, smart release date.

@BradBurns Why would they need to show off any new content for Smash Bros when there is a blod that updates every weekday. Nintendo wanted to announce new games, not games we are already waiting for. If this game is anything like Melee, it will not only be worth it, but remain a solid game that will live on throughout the Wii's lifespan, and beyond. Me and my friends STILL play Melee, and have a ball doing it too. I do hope this comes out in Europe on the same date, otherwise it'll be next Summer. Oh well, it'll be worth it.

It was no surprise that they announced the date, it was either that, or saying it would miss the holiday release.

Glad they gave us the release date on this game. Can't wait.

I hope people aren't waiting for this game to come out before buying a Wii. Some news stations are reporting that Nintendo suggests buying a Wii now since there will be a huge demand come holiday season.

I don't like Nintendo at all anymore. They said that smash brothers was going to come out in late 2006/ early 2007. Now look! They pushed the game back for an entire year. For no real reason, either! Man I really don't see how Nintendo fans can even live off of 2 games every 2 years. They didn't even show anything at e3. whoa, it's almost criminal...

i think this game is gonna dominate the online titles for the year, it's gonna be awesome!

I wonder if it will be hard to find a copy of Brawl if you don't pre-order it, since it's being released near christmas time.

of course, geno won't be in the game until square and nintendo agree on it. still, that seems more likely now that at any time in the past.

Melee was the reason I got a gamecube and this game is the reason why I am getting a Wii. I CANNOT wait for this game to come out! I will preorder this game quickly. I really hope it'll have online play and one of Nintendo's most overlooked characters, GENO!

Smash Brothers fans can breathe a sigh of relief this Christmas. I have played but never wanted to own the N64 and GC versions, I would like to hope that this one will be different.

It's incredible what you read here (besides all the spelling errors). Some think the game is already done, some think it's being pushed to December to boost holiday sales (Like selling the Wii is a problem). And yet others claim the game is the best when we haven't even played it yet..

Glad they announced a date for this game. This is the best game to hit the Wii so far... Go check out the SSBB website for the updates. They won't announce it here, otherwise they daily updates would have been a waste...

I never played this way before but just found out that it is fun game played by my niece and nephew. I guess their mommies and daddies will pick this one up during the holiday season. I just hope that Nintendo has enough systems by December since this game will be a system seller not to mention Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3.

to murlow12: Nintendo said that it would be difficult, to do 4-player online matches, & such. I personaly don't see where it would be too confusing, if at all. I think Nintendo is afraid that Brawl is going to be so popular that their online servers would be flooded to the point of working slow, or Nintendo's afraid that such online activity would cost them a lot of money.

This game is going to awesome. Damn Nintendo for making me wait.

This game is going to be the Killer APP for the Wii just like Melee was for the Gamecube. In fact, this could be better than Halo 3!! =O
