Probably the best X-Men game I have ever played

When I first heard of this game I never really paid much attention i mean its an x-men game how excited can you get over a franchise that has let me down in the video game section. Well Im going over the greatest hits games and stumble over this. I buy it figuring why not. I get home pop it in and turns out I made a right choice. Now Its pretty much for any X-men fan. The game is more tied into the comic which I feel was the best way to go. The story is pretty normal Magneto is trying to take over the world and the X-men need to come together and fight there old nemisis. Magnetos Brotherhood and create problems for the heroes and also the man as they allways do. Through out the game you get to play as most of the x-men u first start with wolverine and then unlock more. During missions you create a team of four x-men out of 15. One the player controls and the other three just follow you around. Now the trick is picking the right x-men for the mission. You could use Iceman to create bridges, weld metal with Cyclops, or move objects with Jean Greys telekinesis. So even though you want to pick your favorites learn your surroundings. The action is what you expect from a beat em up, waves of Baddies one after the other. The A.I is not bad occasionally one of your x-men might accidentally kill itself by walking off a bridge. Now in between missions you explore the X-Mansion with a young mutant named Alison. While you explore the mansion there are many things you can interact with. You can look at art work you collect during missions, take a quiz on how much X-men trivia you know and other minor things. You can also talk to other X-men as they just lounge around the mansion. The Multi-player is pretty good. Now what is really great is that you can gather three more friends and all play during story missions. But you have to have the multi-tap to do this. You can also play in the danger room against either friends or the computer. it Would have been great if it had online capabilities because this game sure could have used it. At the end of it all, other then that minor flaw, it is a great game that is worth a good look at.
